Best Spicy Hot dog Chili Sauce

No Hot dog Is Complete without a good Hot dog Chili. This recipe has just the right amount of Heat to let you know it's "Good Chili" Enjoy!!
Chili Sauce-
1- 15oz Can- Tomato Sauce
1- Cup- Beef Broth
1- Cup Apple Juice
1/4 Cup- Chili Powder
1-Tablespoon -Black Pepper
1- teaspoon Garlic
2- Teaspoons Cumin
1- Teaspoon Onion Powder
2- Teaspoons Salt
1- Whole Chipotle pepper
Combine all the above in a blender and Blend until smooth. Set aside
In a cast Iron Pot , Add cooking oil and Sauté 1/4 of a med Yellow Onion until golden brown.
Next add 1lb Ground beef (80/20) and brown with 1/2 Cup of Beef broth , Reduce until almost all liquid is gone.
Last add, the Chili Sauce and simmer 10 to 15 mins .

Looks great to me - quick and easy too! My husband and I have been having a resurgence lately of enjoying good ole hotdogs for dinner regularly, and I had forgotten how deliciously simple they are to make and enjoy. But videos have been popping up for this hotdog chili idea and I do remember trying Coney Islands in Detroit years ago, so I think this is my next must try recipe. I loved when you brought the spoon up for a closeup of the colour and texture of the finished product. Cool! Thanks Jeff for sharing - love and hugs from Canada!

@@offthegrillwithjeffSubscribed and can’t wait! I love chili but haven’t made it in years since hubby really isn’t a fan. Funny story - my young nephew (now an adult - they grow so fast, eh?) was staying over for a week or so one summer and I was making a batch for dinner in the good ole CrockPot. I asked him to open the various cans for me and he actually didn’t know how to use a dang can opener at age 12! So I said, well, that’s it kid, I’m going to show you how to make this yourself. I got him to do literally everything - even taught him important safe knife skills to do the chopping. He was so proud of himself when his mother showed up that day to pick him back up and have a bowl with us. Not sure if he retained anything I tried to impart to him, but that’s not the point.
