BEST SPOTS For Coyotes in Layton Lakes 2021/22! - Call of the Wild

This video just helped me track down a diamond Coyote I stumbled across a few weeks ago. In my game, there are a decent number of packs on the eastern coasts of Cheelah and Norden. Pursuing the drink zone you have marked there helped me stumble across my diamond again, and this time I managed to track him down. Took me 3.5km, but worth every step. Thank you for the tips!

My best on Layton was a massive albino moose, or a diamond piebald elk, the coolest looking was a gold piebald black tail, the weird thing was instead of the normal reddish brown piebald, it was black and white like a dairy cow

It’s funny how hard coyotes are to hunt in this game. I’ve shot so many coyotes IRL, but only 2 in game. There’s even a country song about how prevalent they are.

I am new in call of the wild and learned a lot from your so thank you for your tutorials! As coyotes are so tiny it can be hard to hit them on longer distance so I found that if you spam shift key, your reticle in aim will stay freez on spot. It is kind a cheat way but if you find diamond animal and really don't want to miss it, this will help you a lot. Hope it will help you a little bit;)

I’ve been having so much trouble with the Vualez mission of shooting two yotes with a heart-shot in only Balmont Lake 😭 I’m always tracking them and then they end up wandering off the beaten path into Mount Leviathan where I have to start over again 😂 I use the callers as well (Predator Jackrabbit) and for some reason, I end up getting more curious Black and Whitetails showing up near me than any Coyote! 🤔 if I could find good rest zones for the Yotes in Balmont, it would make my life so much easier lol

Appreciate your video. I’m having difficulty finding coyote drink zones along the Calburn river. Do you know if animals spawn differently and in different areas from one player to the next?

They usually come into their zones around the middle to end of their drink time. I usually put the time forward by one minute before I leave the tent or outpost. Makes animals come into their zones WAY faster! Good luck!

Will you do a new guide for elk? Places like Roonachee Lake and the Norden Outpost lake were always favorites for me in the past. Now they seem empty. What did Grim say about a situation like this? Recently I have been getting many maximum weight Level 4s using Grim tactics. With that approach I have a Diamond moose, Whitetail and 3 Mallards.

My best kill is a 24-point white tail buck. I shot it when I first started, so it was the 243 that I shot it with. He was drinking by the 1st outpost and was broad side to me, so you know I had to shoot him in the pump house. If I recall, I'm pretty sure it was a 220yd shot. It was somewhere between 200 and 220yd. I think he was like 180 190 some pounds, so he was a biggin.

Probably the most painful mission in Layton is the vualez wildlife control ever since the reset I have not been able to find a coyote in cheelah I still can't compete the mission cause I can't find any coyotes

If you go to a feed zone prior to the feed time, is it possible to be at the exact spot the coyote goes to, or will they always go to a different spot in the zone? I try to hunt feed zones, but the rabbit carcasses are never there until it seems like the coyote shows up, and it's never where I planted myself.

They can be within about 100-150 meters in any direction from the zone itself so they will not always be in the same spot

When trying to complete a mission that requires a specific lake, and you can't find any coyotes, is it a good idea to go hunt some coyotes elsewhere and come back? Or just do something else and come back? i.e. can you get a spawn into your mission zone by hunting coyotes elsewhere?

I do something else and come back! Some of those missions are TOUGH! I'd hunt that area during their drink time. Check the local lakes and water sources. They now drink in Layton from 0:00-4:30. Good luck!

@@LadyLegendXO for real, I hate hunting coyotes. In your video they're all in the open across the water, every time I hunt them I spend 30 minutes spooking them halfway across the map. I can never seem to spot them in the open drinking.

On a previous game, i came across a suprise. While hunting blacktail i heard a female moose call. I hid in the shrub near the large lake area. So what's the suprise. A non called female albino moose at 10 feet from my character. I had a heavy choice shoot or not. Sadly that was years ago.

@@will13434 if they added a great one coyote that was bigger like you suggested, would it not mess with the multimounts? no matter how they get realistic size coyotes it may mess with the mounts. but they are normally good at working with changes in the lodge (other then this update with the fur changing that was a yikes) but if they took thier time to do this then I'm sure they can add realistic size coyotes without messing them up.

I messed up a recording during a dialogue for a mission and had to restart again and that's when it happened.

I just tried to shoot a coyote, well three, that were about 100yds away or less with 109 zeroing and shot all around them and completely missed every one. This is the first time I've been able to see any coyotes after hours of trying to do this mission. I also don't know if jr js the sensitivity, but I can never aim because the d*mn cursor moves too far each time I try to place the cursor on something. Edit: ih and then I sit and wait and see one coyote. I got a hit on it, tracked it, just for the body to be invisible. It had the "confirm trophy" text, but everytime I clicked it, the screen just flashed and never actually opened. Like are you f*cking kidding me. If these devs don't fix the d*mn missions I swear...I literally have spent hours trying to do this sh*t and finally get one just for it to not even work and not credit me whatsoever. So, I quit the game and went back in and now the tracks and everything seem to just be gone. I'm about done with this.

I just did a big hunt for coyotes in Layton. They can be anywhere on the map. I found a pile on the river and along the east coast. I found my mela at the very bottom of the river bottom left
