Following their success last year they would have won had Loreen not entered. They are massive all over Scandinavia so when they were announced as artists on 1st December last year it was obvious they would win even without hearing the song. It’s a very good song and could win the jury vote but not the public. Plus singing first is not good for them however it has been done but decades ago. The first was the Netherlands with “Ding a Dong” by Teach In in 1975. Then the UK in 1976 with “Save your kisses for Me and the last time was indeed Sweden 40 years ago with the brilliant song “Diggy-Loo Diggy-Ley” in 1984. It’s not been done since then so the odds are against Marcus and Martinus this year. I think the public will love the infectious Croatia so the chances of Sweden doing two years in a row are sadly slim. But you never know.

I am Swedish but I hate the way the Swedish radio who never play music from our neighbouring countries. And when we like some artists we make them represent Sweden. (Ok, its the boys choice, no blame). But Käärijä from Finland, second place last year, is never played here. We are so snobbish!
