Just a small correction, kacang kuda (chickpea) are the words that indonesian-malay use, probably in the sumatra especially Riau region area. Chickpea generally known in Indonesia, especially Java as kacang arab which can be translated word-for-word into "arab beans" in english since it was brought by arab traders, probably back then, into Indonesia and it is also one of the staple gifts that Indonesian muslims bring from islamic pilgrimage, hajj, in mecca. That being said, keep the content coming friend!

ngl, the priciest indonesia food i paid is 20$ for karedok ( Betawi Salad with peanut sauce) at LA not included service charge and tax... even at Den Haag, i ordered rendang and rice is only like 10 Euro. 12 GBP for rendang is like, 250k IDR? ish... you can get like 1 big package of 6 portions of rendang meat from respective restaurant in Indonesia (Pagi Sore).. but i get it because london is a bit expensive compared to other cities, sometimes you just craving home taste and its impossible for you to braised rendang meat for 8-10 hours slow cook. i hope that rendang as good as pagi sore tho
