Missed Somerville, Medford and Malden. They are in the similar with Revere in reputation historically but these 3 suburbs have been taking off lately with the additional new stops of Union Square(Green Line) and Assembly Row(Orange Line)

WALtham is how I grew up saying it. I’ve lived in greater Boston for 77 years.

Nice nice work here. Couple of additions…many people of Asian decent move to quincy because of the shopping; Waltham is on route 128 where there there’s a nice pocket biomedical and technology companies; Brookline is known for an excellent school system, many private schools and within walking distance almost to Fenway park and Boston children’s and Harvard medical. Look into Nahant, a lamb chop shaped town connected to Lynn by a causeway. Many doctors and airline people, northeastern marine biology lab, where nothing really happens. A member of the Boston mafia, Angullo, lived there for years. You fly over it to Logan. Great job…keep going. It would be fun to ask a bunch of college students their opinions of different parts of mass.

So difficult to name every suburb of Boston. But that's the beauty of it; it's so easy to get to and from Boston to many of these neighboring or somewhat nearby towns. There are lots more than noted here, but that would then take over an hour to include them all. Watertown, Wellesley, Arlington, Natick and so on. Nice video!

It really was tough to narrow it down! So many great options in the area! Thank you for those suggestions :)

My Dad lived in Waltham for 10 years before I came along and went to Marlborough. It's pronounced Wall thAm with the am pronounced like ham. I teach in Framingham public schools. Your school quality is going to depend on the neighborhood. Some are high results, high income communities while others are extremely high needs low income large immigrant communities. Framingham has strong community programs and puts a lot into the welfare of their communities. Much more so than other towns. Marlborough not listed also has strong community engagement.

How does it work. Good, Better, Best ! So as more it cost ,the better it gets! Around a million dollars will get you near the best area around Boston. West(Brookline, Newton, Wellesley,Weston)North (Belmont, Winchester, Lexington). Don't forget inside Boston 's rich areas.

Unlike many American cities, I find all Boston suburbs to be nice---with the exception of Lynn & Revere

I love cape cod…every inch of it. I think real estate is on the cape is separate from north of Boston. There are no big colleges down there. That’s a big negative.

I was accepted into a Masters program at Berklee, but I'm looking to move to an area outside of Boston that's more affordable to live in.

If you look at Natick or Framingham, you would be able to Commuter Rail into Berklee!
