@kldbv9823 жыл бұрын
The reason no one hears your bass is because you have an SUV. It has nothing to do with that model sub. The sound bounces into the cab and into a big area of open space versus being in a trunk bouncing in a small enclosed space. It will sound louder in an SUV on the inside versus a car, but not carry as well to the outside. In my younger days I had (3) higher end 12’s and a 1500 watt amp in a Ford Explorer. It was ear rattling inside. Way overkill; yet you really couldn’t hear it outside like you thought you would. It’s physics, not a model specific situation. I am putting one of these P300’s and an LC2i in my Rogue today. I’ve installed a few of these for others already, but this is my first time owning one myself. They really are great subs for all genre’s. I’ve always preferred 10’s as they produce tighter bass, especially in a sealed box. Thanks for the video! Was good motivation to stop watching KZbin and get to work!

If you plan on running it all the time with the engine off sure. Capacitors are used to store energy so that when the car is shut off the battery doesn’t get instantly drained due to the large current draw of a subwoofer. The T means it will be a longer box but much more shallow

@@Zinxed Thanks! Another question. Do I just leave the gain at zero on the actual amplifier if I'm using the remote to adjust the gain? Wasn't sure how they affect each other.

I’m torn between the 10 and 12. Just got a new civic 🤔

The price difference is so little, might as well get the 12

If you put the gain all the way up will the speaker blow?
@Zinxed4 жыл бұрын
No, I have put it all the way and it's been fine. I wouldn't do it cause that's not the correct way to tune it

And why not just include rca jacks w speaker if we hv aftermarket stereo?
@Zinxed4 жыл бұрын
skorpyo33 the kit comes with rca ends so you won’t need the adapter, I didn’t have an Aftermarket headunit

Hey mate, I really appreciate your work, thanks so much for making this video I have just installed rockford fosgate P300-12T exactly how you mentioned in this video. I have just tapped into 2 wires and it is working really well. Do I need to tap into more wires? Aash Sydney,Australia

That's a massive fuse for such a low wattage system. 30 to a 40 amp fuse would of been just fine, but aye if it works then that's all that matters I guess Lol

Oh Jesus, connect through your factory sub, don't ever pass on that option over the speaker. Cause it's sending the low pass sounds to the sub only and you won't catch most of the under 20db frequency.
