@askcarguru Sir, I watch your videos as you have a very practical approach. I have been thinking of Kiger 1.0 with AMT after trying out all variants for the following reasons 1. I like manual shift but would progressing age would like to use the benefit of AMT in city's stop and go traffic. In other times I would like to be in 'control' of the gear shifts 2. The 1.0 is a bit underpowered but I feel its more or less similar to the other vehicles in this class, I dont think its any worse. I like the 1.2 turbo but unfortunately it comes only with CVT. I know CVT is better but it still has the rubberband effect and I loose the options to throw gears manually, so will live with the 1.0 engine I work from home so don't have a daily commute so dont clock much on the roads, most of the driving in terms of time would be in the city. There will be occasional long drives so in terms of kms that might be more. My concerns are 1. Fit and finish and sound in cabin as vehicle gets old. I fear it will age faster with a lot more rattle and noise 2. What kind of mileage would I get in real life as I have heard a wide range of opinions 3. Is Renault a better option to Nissan in terms of service, maintenace cost apart from the actual model specs?

1. I have triber amt, July 2021 model, been three years now, lot of highway commute, even a truck hit front bonnet, been to service Center and no rattle nothing, no inner cabin sound 2. Mileage in winter touched 16.1, because of 1 liter engine and I live in Delhi so u can imagine how dense the traffic gets 3. 4th service, costs is up to 5 to 6 k, excluding unnecessary accessories, keep in mind I have similar commute like you, occasional long drives, and work from home and in triber amt, manual shift option is there as well, I am guessing same should be with kiger. Overall I am very satisfied with the product, I really wanted to buy kiger amt and hopefully that would be my next car, I am very surprised by the service centre people behaviour, I have used three different centres, (two in Delhi and one in Gurgaon) Renault standards are same. Hope this helps

@@shrikantrakshe8499 Got the RXT manual and not the AMT after checking out Fronx (good car but too expensive for what it offers, safety is a ?), Nexon (variant thats close to the budget was too basic) and 3XO (the top variant i test drove was good but variant I wanted had a long waiting) A few points 1. Kiger is NOT underpowered, its is actually better than some better selling brands even in the upper price segment 2. I was wrong about getting the AMT and driving it as a manual when i needed the zip. While the AMT is capable it suffers from the lag thats associated with that technology. If you are too impatient and cant tolerate the lag dont get the AMT. The turbo CVT is a beast though and a steal at that price. 3. The 1.0L manual is a very different beast from the automatic as despite what its numbers say it feels just as muscular as the Fronx. Its quite comfortable in bumper to bumper traffic, you can drive without pumping the clutch and downshifting. 4. The build feels great with only the 3XO being a notch above 5. The interiors are simple but functional. Fronx the finalist has probably slightly better quality interiors but it looks shiny cheap. 6. The showroom was manned by young people and were pleasant. Havent yet had much interaction with the service station so cant comment on that 7. Fuel efficiency. This is a question mark I cannot answer properly as yet. My wife's driver who mostly drives the car and is a very sedate driver gets 9-10kmpl, while me who is more of an enthusiast haven't got less than 15-16, both in the city. Haven't really driven much on the Highway. 8. My wife though isnt very happy. She got this car as we had to dispose of our 15+ yr old 4+ mts sedan due to the new rules. That car which was several categories above was much more plush, comfortable and smooth in the back seat where she mostly sits. Only thing she appreciates is the easier ingress and exit than the lower slung sedan. Over all I think this is the most vfm vehicle in this segment, which has been unfairly labelled underpowered.
