I see the virus get so little coverage, so I'm glad to see it here. I bought my TI over 10 years ago and it still feels like a brand new synth every time I play it. hands down my single desert island synth. I actually can't believe how into I still am.

Thanks… that why I put it together tbh. I think some viewers think of my channel as simply detailed examinations of stuff. But I actually create tracks with everything. I’ve come to the realisation that these bits are either skipped over, or the point of them is overlooked. The idea is … here’s the synth.. here’s what it can do in a track.. now let’s dig deeper and give you the info you can’t get anywhere else… but maybe I should do these as separate videos or make more of them? They’re the main reason I make the videos… gives me a chance to shut the world out and write some nice little tracks :)

Great vid. Would love to see you make a video about which of your many many many synths you actually use the most. Which did you think are amazing but just don't find their way into your workflow/tracks, etc. Could be interesting to see as a follow up to your 'Vintage Synths - are they worth it?" I've personally found that as cool and strange as some of the newer synths and vst's are, I come back to the bread and butter juno, piano (nord), and super 6 more often than not in my own music.

Thanks for the awesome montage. My personal winner is the Uno Synth Pro for three reasons: It's not a clone/replica but something unique, it's very well-priced and it sounds really awesome. Build quality of the desktop version is cheap though.

My clueless attempt at separating into genres: UNO mini: trance Sequential Take 5: trance Sherman Filterbank: some break in a Beck song/alternative house Leipzig: techno Microwave: house + techno with climaxes UDO super 6: 80's inspired trance UNO Pro: melancholic trance Wasp: retrowave Alpha Juno: drum & bass Leipzig: some crazy detuned madness to drive the cat crazy (with very nice drums) Waldorf: drum & bass Behringer 2600: ambient Access Virus: house Polysix: ambient Minilogue: drumless house break Jupiter 6: can't place it on the chronological scale Skulpt: trance Behringer 2600 again: dreamy arps, reminds me of Mika Forsling 2 Blue Marvins: IDM? Amazing textures like the other 2600 examples

Super interesting machines, great recording of the sound and video editing, but the music is some seriously groovy stuff the whole way through, really special especially the dark house/drum & bass sounds. Also interesting to hear how the Jupiter 6 does the more modern electronica vibe so well.
