Good evening, i have do have a query, is it advisable to use sponge biochemical filter when i am using biomedia for growing good bacteria in my fish tank. Will this sponge affect this good bacteria and decrease effectiveness? Can i use only biomedia and water care for keeping my fish tank clean? I am using rs electricals 10 watts water pump.

Sir Serpae tetras ke baare mey kuch bataiye? what are the best tankmates for them? also i have 2 types of serpaes one with the black spots and others without black spot but much brighter.. i was told that they are serpae tetras but without black spot... they also look a lot like ember tetras but much bigger... please if you can clarify on that
