Another great vid on a build type that can be very confusing for players. I do like how Nic shows you the trait, explains the pros & cons and then also tells you how to get it (if it’s still available). Looking forward to the stream on a budget tank build.

Great vid! I recently switched my tank from the Legendary Oddy to the Sagan Command Cruiser and i dont regret a thing. The FBP/RSP thing is really nice.

I recently started play a FTP account which had been sitting idle for over 24 months with a character of 2 lvl on it he was still standing where you first log in at Starfleet Academy. I think i made it when they gave away a T6 token a couple of years ago. It is very tough no traits no endevours, even thou i did throw some weapons etc to this FTP account from my main account it was so much harder. Good luck with your FTP experiment, I know that some of the other STO youtubers have FTP accounts.

@NIC_NB I've heard you and Spencer rail pretty strongly against using Attack Patten Delta regularly, in favor of Beta. Here you are suggesting the use of Delta Prime. Are you proc'ing this from a DOFF, or are you slotting Delta on a BOFF station? If you're actually slotting it, are you alternating between Delta and Beta?

You can alternate them or get Delta from a doff like 8 of 47. On high end tanks you will never want anything other than Beta on your build atm, which is where nic and I generally focus. But for entry-mid range builds having the Delta to trigger doffs or traits can help. Someone with no endeavors can benefit a bit from that crit delta prime brings, and the +threat doffs that delta work with can help boost threat gen a bit.

Thank you. I rebuilt my Styx tank on a tac toon. I've just realised I had unified engineering but no aux-to-sif I can't really find room to slot it so I'm going to give improved feedback pulse a go - something not used for many a long year! Q: For ETM do you just have BFAW and TS on your spam bar? I've tried to micro manage but couldn't work out how to.

From an FTP player: for the early phases of your FTP character's development that store brand BoP you get Withering Barrage from is going to be far more important than the trait itself. Also, just for leveling, grab the warp core from "Sphere of Influence" to have one fewer thing to remember to upgrade and the Temporally Shielded Datacore from "Temporal Reckoning" as a freely upgradable survivability console. Those are easily missed but very helpful. Be flexible, as an FTP you are heavily reliant on the events for ships and traits. This is especially true early on, you don't really have any great ways to get lots of EC early. Some stuff you might expect to be able get from the Exchange (like ships) is above the EC cap until you buy the upgrade anyway. Finally, and most importantly... HAVE FUN!

One I forgot to mention that may have slipped your mind as well: the Prolonged Engagement set is still an account unlock from the Phoenix Store as are the Sompek shield/gloves set and Lightning kit module. It will take a bit to get the Dill to get them but they should be kept in mind.

Flaggship staffing > entwined tactical matrices in my opinion, but they also pair very well. she's a predator(from some falchion variant) is just as strong as plot armor, for variation ^.~

No updates in a video i have done a lot of testing in regards to changes for the tank, but each time i come back to this set up. Sometimes i'll run the trait from the sagan if i need some extra shield healing but from 99% of content the video setup works best for me
