Aww yesss the Dark Goddess guidebook is where it's at! The Gaian tarot book is so lovely as well (love that deck!), and in the same vein the Herbcrafters Tarot guidebook is part of the whole experience as well. I love how some decks I trust the imagery and use my tarot knowledge to weave together meanings, and then others like these, using the guidebook is such an integral part of the experience of using the deck. Such a great video, so fun hanging with you for an hour this morning! xx

I am currently using herbcrafter tarot this month, super interesting. Not all the plants are local to me so it was a bit hard at first to make a connection but I am finding personal correspondences & finding my groove with it slowly but surely. I totally agree with what you said about intuition needing to be informed by some structured knowledge. I always think you wouldn't tell someone's who's never driven to get behind the wheel just because they've been in a car, so why do we expect new tarot readers to be able to intuitively pick out card meanings?

That is funny! Yes, I read intuitively, I picked the deck to read from based on my intuition. I am relatively new, but I have always been empathic.

That is a good point! I think intuition can really have such a powerful impact on the reading & we can get hints that go wayy beyond the meanings but for me it helps to have the structure at least for tarot because of the system in place but I guess it is personal preference & everyone is different 😄 But I also pick the deck to read with based on intuition so I guess it's an organic process between the two sides :)

The complete guide to Tarot Illuminati book is 456 pages in English, on Amazon in the US for $20.95 and available on Kindle for $17, so I assume that's the very big book. If you purchase the kit with the book it's 160 pages, if you get the cards only they are not gilded, thinner cardstock and a tiny book

Yeppppp some books really MAKE the deck whole, doing these RWS comparison videos lately I've read the entire book for new decks to give the audience the best overall idea of the cards. Which has sparked something in me and now I want to go through and read all the books for all my decks 😅 I always say Forhaxa is my favorite but I never read the whole book. I would read from it whenever I would get a new card that I never looked at the book before, which makes it a new experience but I'm just going to have to sit down and do it 😅

Loved your beginning 😂 Totally agree about the Light Seer's. I had the indie at one point, and Chris-Anne did a marvelous job of truncating down the bigger guide book to the smaller one. There are a lot of interesting decks there. It's so good to get a focus on the guidebooks. There is so much information relating directly to the deck and to Tarot, who are these people not reading them? Never mind, I guess it's different strokes for different folks, etc. Anyway, I love to know about the guidebooks and about good Tarot books in general. Love this video! I have been doing a deep dive study of the Light Seers and I haven't even been paying attention to the affirmations! 🤦🏾🤦🏾 I downloaded the Cosmic Tarot and the Tarot Illuminati guides. And now I can't stop staring at the Shimmering Veil Tarot. I have seen the box before but I didn't pay attention. The artwork looks stunning. I hope you will enjoy the tarot illuminati & cosmic tarot! My favourite part of the illuminati guide is the first part of each card where it's as if the character in the card is speaking directly to us, it's so good & totally made me look at some cards in a whole new way ! The animal totem book is amazing and since I just use it for one card pulls I don't care about the 78 different animals. You made me very curious about the gaian tarot book. A guide book of your first category for me is the raven prophecy tarot. I love both, deck and book. As well as the star tarot.

I clicked buy now on the Cosmic Tarot, that is just fascinating! I'm looking forward to delving into that. I was curious about the Illuminati one, but was a little more cautious at $31.99, but it defintely looks in depth at 420 pages. I had a chance to work with the Animal Totem Tarot book by Leeza Robertson and for the price, it is incredible! The Gaian Tarot looks so interesting. I totally agree with you about Tarot spreads being so lazy in guide books. Totally, we all arleady know how to do a daily draw and a 3 card spread.

This was such a good videoooooo! I’m often attracted to decks by their guidebooks haha. My favorite guide books from the decks I own are the Wildwood Tarot, the Gift of Life Tarot (which I got after I saw it on your channel) and the Celtic Spirit Oracle by Nicola McIntosh, which I just got and I’m in love. The guidebook is sooo beautifully written! 💚 A guidebook I’m reading and loving (though I don’t own the deck) is the Numinous Tarot Guidebook. 💚 You know which book I’m super curious about? The True Heart Intuitive Tarot Guidebook, Sylvain always praises that book in his videos! Another one is the Tarot of the Divine. I’m interested in that deck mainly for the guidebook AND the companion storybook!!

What I love about the gift of life book is the “real life moment” section. It takes the deck to another level ❤️ And the Numinous tarot explains each card in a very real-life everyday-life type way, which I love… it also gives a lot of journaling questions so you can really dive deep. (Whether you have the deck or not).

My heart is struck on the Mary el tarot but every video I've watched till now says to not get it as a beginner deck so I'm trying to find something else 😭 I'm just drawn to darker decks like the lubanko and the black tarot in general and all the beginner decks people recommend look way too colourful and cheery to me Also, the shimmering veil tarot is gorgeous! God why are they not beginner decks 🤭

Omg if you are drawn to the Mary el or any other deck and you feel it in your gut that it’s for you… GO FOR IT ! I give little recommendations for beginner friendly based on the guidebook and how far away it can veer away from more traditional decks purely because all tarot books/ courses/ podcasts etc usually are based on one of the traditional systems like RWS/ marseille or Thoth but they are never meant to tell people what they should or shouldn’t do. I’m the biggest believer that everyone path is different and that your intuition is your best compass so if you feel drawn to the Mary el for your first deck then hell yes it is awesome 😁 you are being called to work with those decks for a reason, your intuition will not lead you astray. also lubanko is one of my all times faves so that is an excellent choice in my humble opinion haha. My first deck was not a beginner deck according to some people, it was the tarot of the hidden realm, mostly close up faves no traditional symbolism etc but it was perfect for me at that particular time. I ended up picking a RWS as my second deck later on because I wanted to do a little historical deep dive and understand where things came from but it wasn’t necessary if that makes sense. So all of that to say I think you should trust your gut 😁

Thank you! I always love love to see your videos. I am on youtube to bring awareness to the racial injustice I experienced in Los Angeles California. I am a Tarot Card reader, I am experiencing pain, so it is always a welcomed distraction to see your videos when they pop up. I brought the Mary El Tarot based on your suggestion. I haven't connected with them yet.I plan to read the entire book before I try to. I read intuitively. I am an empath. Can I suggest the New Era Element and the Black Tarot deck. I am so sorry that you are going through so much pain & sending big hugs your way 💕 I think the mary el is wonderful for intuitive reading but it definitely helped me to read the stories & myth linked to the cards to open those doors for me so I hope it can help you too. I have the new era elements it is so good you are right! Some cards definitely are a bit gut wrenching so I have to be in the right mindset but it is such a sharp shooter in terms of reading.
