Best Team for Kalos: Delphox Edition

I never thought Unova was going to end because I hadn't done that best team in a long time. I am finally glad to be back on track though with this series and its cool to start things fresh in Kalos with the best team for Delphox Edition. Kalos is a fun region because there is so much diversity here in terms of types and the kinds of trainers you face here. As for the team though, I can’t exactly promise it is going to be super diverse because there are Pokemon that are very good at their job and will be joining us from the original Kalos Best Team. However, I can say you will for sure see some new faces though in terms of Kalos. But yeah I think you guys will love the power behind this Kalos team as it is very familiar power if you have seen the more recent best teams. Unfortunately though, I have to talk about Delphox which in case you didn't know, isn't exactly my favorite starter from Kalos but hey I can tolerate it. Anywho, enough of me ranting let’s move onto what a best team is before we start the actual team member analysis.

I tried a nuzlocke once but Fennekin and Bulbasaur both died before Grant's gym. I even tried to keep going as a normal playthrough, but I kept losing every battle. Before you think I'm bad, I had played through Y twice before that no problem. Those 2 are just not a good combination.

I love Braixen/Delphox, so good to see more love for this phox! One thing I would change in Delphox's moveset is replace Psychic with Psyshock. This allows Delphox to hit Special walls hard.

Delphox (I'm sure about this) Pidgeot (Read description above) Raichu (I didn't know how to evolve it,so I had a Pikachu until I found out at about the seventh gym because I googled it) Florges (I'm not entirely sure,but I think I used it) Gogoat (I vividly remember using one because I thought it was awsome and it helped me in a lot of battles) ??? (I can't remember if it was Blastoise,Lucario or Lapras,all I know is that I used one in the first playthrough and the others in the second one)

The team I had for Kalos was as follows: Delphox, Blastoise, Gardevoir, Pidgeot (later switched with Yveltal), Lucario, and Pansage. This team carried me through almost all of Kalos and it's probably one of my favourite Pokemon teams I've ever put together.

Wish i had done this team when i first played though Kalos XD Fennikin was the starter i chose on my copy of Y for my journey through Kalos, so Fennikin and its evolution family really holds a lot of nostalgia for me ^^

Delphox actually used to be my favorite Fire Starter before Cinderace came along. I like it a lot. I also ended up getting a Froakie through Wonder Trade in a recent playthrough I started, so I can use both Delphox and Greninja XD So my team's pretty much gonna be: Delphox Greninja Lucario Jolteon Roserade Flygon Using Flygon, simply because I like it more than Garchomp. And I do like Aegislash, but since Greninja's a Dark type and Lucario is a favorite of mine and has a Mega Evolution, he's on the team

Delphox handles the gyms the best out of all three starters. It does Bug, Fighting (with psybeam), grass, fairy (resists fairy), Psychic (with shadowball), and Ice. It also does well against the Steel gym. That’s more than the other two

My Team in XAndY: DELPHOX Pikachu(Strongest Pokemon in my team w/wo LB) Charizard(X) Lucario Espeon-> Xern(biggest mistake since This was smy first Pokemon game, but next time I'll play no legends) Hawlucha. never liked Aegislash, And I still don't see why its Ubers or Specially based. I was wondering the same thing. Heliolisk already had Surf and Thunderbolt and Delphox had Psychic, so its only unique to team move was Ice Beam. Therefore I don't see why it's important for it to be in the team when there's others that can better diversify the move pool.

This team is good but I’d choose blastoise over Lapras. Lapras gets psychic, thunderbolt, surf and ice beam. Psychic is already covered by Delphox and heliolisk has surf and stab thinderbolt. Blastoise has better defense and attacks and can mega evolve soo yeah

Fennekin 🔥is my favourite Kalos starter Pokemon because to me as it evolved into Braxien and then to Delphox, it looks more feminine as a female rather than a male. Delphox is very beautiful 💖and remind me of a combination of a fox, Japanese girl in Kimono and a witch with a sticking making magic. That's why I picked Fennekin as my starter Pokemon in both Pokemon X and Pokemon Y Nintendo games because it's suitable for a female trainer like me👍.

I usually use Delphox, Blastoise, and Florges. The rest of my team varies from one playthrough to the next. Lapras is okay, but it only really shines in Kalos where it isn't gifted to you at a much lower level. I love Pokemon, but i don't have in-depth knowledge of it so if you can find a Lapras at a better level in the wild, I wouldn't know.

I agree for the most part, but you don't have a mega on the team! Garchomp doesn't count, as you mentioned. I'd swap out Lapras for Blastoise. Give it Surf, Ice Beam, Dark Pulse, and either Waterfall/Earthquake. Super bulky, better attacking stats than Lapras, and Dark Pulse hits so hard with Mega Launcher.

Use a pure fairy like Florges, weaknesses are steal and poison. guess what? delphox kills poison types with psychic moves and steal dies to it's fire. Although the fairy typing itself won't be very useful, florges does get moonblast, which is 95 power with 100 accuracy. And if you are worried about PP then it also has 15.

aliastheabnormal Delphox beats Blaziken, it resists both of Blaziken’s types and holds the advantage with psychic... and that same reasoning goes for the other Fire/fighting starters. The only fire starter that can beat her is Incineroar and even then gen 7 gave her some fairy moves like Dazzling Gleam to hold her own against him. Delphox reigns over the other Fire starters
