As an opera singer myself, I absolutely love this music, and it is the coolest thing ever to hear Avi sing these arias (opera songs) to the words of Adon Olam. I enjoyed this so very much, thanks Azi!!! Brilliant and enjoyable to listen to. Adon Olam seems to be a very popular prayer to write new melodies to. Adon Olam is also sung to many familiar melodies. What is it about that song that makes it a favorite? L'cha Dodi is the second most popular to write new arrangements to. I think it's a great idea to sing a variety of melodies - melodies of the season - of the Jewish holidays. Variety is a spice of life and no one will get bored.

It's also worth noting, Azi transposed many of these arias *HIGHER* than what the composers wrote, including the high C you talked about at 1:53. It's supposed to be a half step lower, so the high note is a B4 rather than a C5.
