This was excellent! Great tips. I used to live in London for a short time in the early noughts and found it horrendously expensive. I suppose it still is! :-) So your advice is very useful both for tourists and working folks. If I may add, I used to live in Paris for a couple of years and unlike London, it is far easier to find a good bargain (be it food, lodging or sightseeing) there. New sub!
