Did you go to Margate to make this video? I went there a couple of weeks ago to a go a concert and was shocked at run down down it is. Cliftonville isn't any better. I jeep hearing that the place is on the up. They're wrong! I really wanted it to be true as I have gond memories of Margate/Cliftonville having lived and gone to primary school there.

Yes, of course! This footage is not ai generated haha. Margate has pockets of gentrification for sure, but largely can still do with investment and regeneration. Still charming and definitely on the up like many spots along Kent’s coastline.

It is a total dump here--people need to stop buying into the media hype & turning up expecting what their parents or grandparents saw in the 1960's & 1970's, or like yourself were here in those halcyon days-which is what the media promote. It is shocking how far it has gone down even since 30 years back-when it was already well on the slide. All the investment has gone into the Turner so called art gallery & the old town shops around it-mostly rich Londoners selling overpriced arty-farty stuff & Dreamland. The Winter Gardens has been left to rot for years-just been given a paltry sum, the Lido for decades. also the Tudor House & Theatre Royal. The only 'saving grace' for us is that Ramsgate is even worse. If you want somewhere nice in Thanet, then Broadstairs is the place.

Hey! I’d definitely recommend looking on Airbnb as there are loads of cute choices. There’s one I loved right outside LIDO - check out places in “Cliftonville” Margate 😊
