I never cared much for Derek Carr up until this past season. With all the adversity him and the Raiders dealt with and still being able to make the playoffs is a great feat. Will be rooting for him from now on and hopefully some playoff success will come his way.

His accuracy is so crazy. Really pay attention to where he placed the back its second to none. He’s a monster. I’ve watched every detail of him for years abs he improves every year in some way and proves himself time and time again. Weapons changing yearly, last place defense, and forever changing coaching staff has come to an end. People will start to recognize him for how great he really is very soon.

Evil_Foxbody bruh did you watch the last 8 games of the season the offense averaged 14 fucking PPG hell the defense was good enough for the playoffs this year but carr could not score more then 20 against the jags and 16 against the broncos... The jags game was the last game in Oakland too... 7-9 instead of 9-7was on Derrick the defense actually showed out and improved the last 3 games. You also can’t tell me Carr scoring literally no points against the Jets, Bengels (defense won this game Carrs shitty end zone dive was so wack). The dude against the division rival chiefs who don’t exactly have a good defense put up 19 points in 2 games. Don’t tell me it’s cause Mahomes was driving the ball dowfield all game and dominating time of possession he scored instantly. Carr had chances to at least score and maybe have a shootout but 19 points is cool to. I hope he shows up in Vegas tho 16 Carr was fun to watch but other then that this guy has been average at best and terrible at worst.

DC helped revive and produce so many careers - Crabtree, Seth Robert’s, Jared Cook, Nelson Agholor, Amari Cooper. He made these guys look like shining stars. Nice to see Carr back in his old form this year, him using his legs more this year is huge. Although he has one of the best arm talent in the NFL, I was trashing him constantly from 2017-2019 as he wasn't using his legs enough and he was making a lot of stupid decisions with the ball. He still does this, except he doesn't throw into double and triple coverage (remember when that was the thing they complained about), he's smarter and doesn't take chances, but this offense is about controlling the ball, plus this boys don't fight for the ball like crabtree did.

I was honestly hoping that we could've gotten Tee Higgins in the 2nd round (if we traded up) simply because that guy's build and playstyle reminds me so much of Crabtree. Ruggs and Higgins would've been a fantastic duo beside each other. I'm not mad about us getting Bryan Edwards though, that man is so underrated and such a beast. I could see him beating out Williams for the starting spot within the next couple seasons. Our future recieving corps will consist of Ruggs, Edwards, Renfrow and Waller/Moreau. That's a pretty fantastic recieving corps on paper - hopefully Edwards and Ruggs match their potential 🔥

Something really funny I saw while watching these highlights. There were quite a lot of +20 yard throws in there and a good chunk of them were from the last 2 years. Yet all I ever read about the complaints on Carr are him not throwing the ball deep. I mean he either is or he isn't?!! Its that simple and unless these are fake highlights, guess what.... he does throw it deep and with pretty good accuracy. He does move around in the pocket and scramble. You know what he doesn't have that would help him win more.. Receivers that actually catch the ball more than they drop it (I believe the Raiders have been Top 5 in dropped passes every year for the last 5), Offensive/Defensive players that don't commit stupid penalties (I know the Raiders get a bunch of B.S calls from the officials that normally aren't called on other teams, but holy hell, they're top 5 every year in penalties). Another thing he doesn't have, a Defense. Have Raiders ever been in the top 20 in Carr's tenure. I believe they've been in the bottom 10 overall EVERY damn year. I mean the man has broken his leg, a bone in his spine and a finger on his throwing hand for this team and still people bitch about the effort of the man or the skill. WTF?!!?!

I remember Seth Roberts he was clutch and had some of the hottest hands in 2015-2016. Something changed with him tho I think it was due to coming out of the Reggie McKenzie and Musgrave era. Several guys left after Musgrave, Cooper, Cook, ect... Carr was more precise his first few seasons but after 2017 he never really was the same after the Washington game.

If you actually watch, none of his throws pre-injury were being made because he wasn’t “scared”. He was making great throws because he clearly had great chemistry with his receivers and had the trust in them as well as control over the offense to do as he pleased. With that being said, Gruden needs to unleash Carr once again. He still has incredible potential.
