I've been to Egypt in June/July a few times, and it's my favorite time. It's scorching, the sun is high up, and everything is bright and glowing. You will feel a real Egyptian desert experience. 🙂

I’m glad you like it during that time! I prefer October-May, but everyone likes something different. It’s definitely less crowded in the summer 👍🏼

I have gone to Egypt several times and have only gone once during the cooler months and it is packed. I love going in the summer month it's less people and the prices are much better too. You can get great deals at many of the top rated hotels. One other things about Egypt is the delivery service. You can get any food ideas delivered makes it great for staying in and relaxing around the pool.
@EgyptAdventuresTravel Жыл бұрын
You’re totally right in that the summer is the best time for cheaper prices and no crowds. I just can’t handle sightseeing in the desert in the heat of the summer in Luxor and Aswan! If anyone does go in the summer, I recommend making your schedule so that you do all sightseeing from extremely early, like 6am-11am, and then relax at your hotel pool during the heat of the day (or do air conditioned museums), and then venture out at night for nightlife and street food. And yes, the delivery is great!

Wish I watched this video before going to Egypt. Did not know they usually do not have heaters in the apartments. Cairo was OK but It was very cold and windy in Alexandria in January. Even very cold for a person from Estonia, which has quite cold winters.
@EgyptAdventuresTravel Жыл бұрын
Yes, I agree! I am from Minnesota which is super cold in the winter, but the problem in Egypt is that if it is cold outside, it's also cold inside, with most places not having heat!

Interesting. I have been and I would recommend most people to go outside of the high season but also avoid the heat if you cannot stand high temperatures. Believe me, it is HOT in July and August above all. Yes, there are less tourists but if you have to go then, I highly recommend, what this excellent video did not mention (!) is to stay at a decent hotel with a swimming pool, with Air con inside the hotel. Decent eateries inside the hotel. Get up early every day and do the excursions from as early as 5am and by the time you get back to your hotel, the pool will be an excellent way to cool down. Then there are the eateries inside the hotel where your can eat, your room where you will most definitely relax as you will have woken early to go out and avoid the torrid heat of the day. From 19.30 hours the streets start being busy as the sun goes down earlier at these times and it becomes cooler so the local people go out for a walk, do their shopping etc. I have been as I said and when there are too many tourists it is unbearable, but when the summer months come, you can enjoy what Egypt has to offer if you plan well enough. I would also say, that where you begging your holiday adventure is important. Luxor is located in a better place than Cairo if you want to see all the most important places. From Luxor a cruise down the Nile in direction to Aswan and Abu Simbel are a must. From there, again you can take a plane to Karnak, see all there is to see, fly to Cairo, and tour that part of Egypt. Alexandria is for those who want a European holiday…

Will visiting Luxor in Ramadan is a good idea? Is everything there open? Museums, temples, boats?
@EgyptAdventuresTravel Жыл бұрын
Yes, everything is open! Lesser visited sites may close 1 hour early or so, but most everything should be open as normal.
@EgyptAdventuresTravel5 ай бұрын
Everything related to tourism is still open, so it’s not a bad time to visit. People will in general be a bit more tired and potentially grouchy when fasting, and a lot of local restaurants may not be open during the day, but all the ones catering to tourists will be running as normal 👍🏼

I am looking to go Hurghada Egypt in November with a group of us. Me and my partner really want to go do all the tourist sites but I know a few of the others are more beachy/lay by the pool all day..... will the weather in November be good for both? I personally would hate doing tourist things is anything over 35 degrees celsius as ill melt! But am worried it wont be hot enough to chill out at beach & pool or will its still be?
@EgyptAdventuresTravel Жыл бұрын
In Hurghada, during the day it gets up to 27 degrees C on average in November and is sunny most days. If that's good pool/beach weather for you, awesome! In Luxor (where the main tourist sites are), it's around 28 degrees C during the height of the day, and much cooler in the morning and evenings. I think it's pretty mild and pleasant. And Cairo will be cooler than both Hurghada and Luxor, so visiting the Pyramids and sites there is great at that time of year. Have an awesome trip! I would like to go to Egypt with my young children (under the age of 6). Would you recommend I avoid the summer months or can it be doable?
@EgyptAdventuresTravel2 жыл бұрын
Hi There! It’s definitely doable, as long as you all don’t mind the heat. The best way to sightsee in the summer is: 1. Book a hotel with a pool 2. Wake up super early and sightsee from 6-7am until 11am-12pm 3. Break for lunch and hang at the pool (or in the AC) 4. Go back out in the evenings to do things like a sound and light show, or the Khan El Khalilii market, or a museum that has evening hours 5. Optional during the peak heat to do a museum like the Luxor Museum that has AC

@EgyptAdventuresTravel Жыл бұрын
It gets pretty hot down in Luxor and Aswan; Cairo is fairly warm as well. Alexandria and the North Coast are lovely, but also begin to get overrun with Egyptians on holiday. The Red Sea is hot and sunny. It’s also shoulder season, so slightly fewer foreign tourists!

I agree-it’s one of my favorite times to visit. However, travelers should know that the time around December 25 can be very busy and much more expensive-plan on booking your trip far in advance if you’re coming on these dates.
