About the Course
British Sign Language is the first or preferred language in the United Kingdom for deaf people. The British Sign Language Level 1 Award will equip learners with skill and competency as they progress through each level. Learners will develop an advanced understanding of the function and structure of British Sign Language and the deaf culture and community. Marios Costi is a British Sign Language Tutor in the United Kingdom. Marios has experience working as a deaf Presenter at ITV SignPost presenting Sports News for the channel. He was a BSL Teacher at City Lit and at Frank Barns School for Deaf Children. He has a wealth of skills and knowledge in British Sign Language training and enjoys teaching students this course. Marios is deaf and passionate about educating students to be culturally aware, empowering deaf people, and building a good rapport with his learners.
