For reference - I just looked at all 3 links in the video description. And also searched similar mats on Amazon... I ended up purchasing the first link. All black, 5mm thick, 4ft by 15ft long. $119 shipped. Thanks for the video!! This is exactly what I was looking for!

this material is so awesome i used my cutting table to make small pieces to place under furniture to keep it from sliding works better than the junk you get at Lowes. i also cut a section and adhered to my welding cabinet where my shielding gas cylinder mount. also have cut smaller pieces and bonded as door closure bumpers. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸get creative once you get a roll.

Husky Premium Drawer Liner is half the price and covers more area. This "pro mat" is good for heavy use flooring, welding surface but might be over kill and takes up space as a liner. 45 mil Firestone pond liner is just a small amount more than Husky off Ebay at about $1 a sq ft in 5'x10' will last forever is tough and is only .043" thick. For what it's worth.

They use that for loading paper on trailers also. Each role usually 2000-5000 lbs each sits on a rubber pad cut to size to prevent it from sliding around. I used to grab a bunch when I got unloaded they just throw it out.

Thanks for the links, the first one actually had the best color options and I picked up a roll of purple speckled one for my box! Boy did I have some wrist cramps afterward after cutting, but boy is it worth it! It works great as a laying mat and kneeling when under a buss or over an engine, keeps the sharp and hot stuff away and saves the knees. I still have so much left over, gonna cut it up as needed for miscellaneous needs. Thanks again, way better than the mats issued to my Snap-On box, and I’m actually looking forward to cleaning it when the time comes, no more little crumbs like the old cheapo rolls!

@Saqib Malik I give up, "What is the difference between toolbox liners and toolbox drawer liners?"
@revolution51
@revolution51 4 жыл бұрын
@Saqib Malik Tool boxes come in many designs and sizes They can be one big store all space. 'Tool box drawers' usually refers to standard tool boxes for tool storage in a shop where it is expedient to keep the tools organized in specific use order. The liners would therefore need to provide a certain level of tenacity between the tool and the liner. The liner would have to provide a certain level of tenacity to the drawer bottom, since the drawers would be opened and closed on a repetitive manner. Liners would keep the tools from sliding all over the drawer bottom.

@@autofanaticcars - Years ago I ran across a black guy who was self employed, doing large moving truck deliveries for a big same day express delivery company. He delivered pallet racking for me. The guy wanted to get out of the business and into something productive. He asked me what I did and wanted to remain self employed. I had no answers. I told him to find someone who would do a paid apprenticeship. That could lead to being a paid employee, a partner or something mutually beneficial. There are a lot of black guys who want to learn, but you know the deal and how they grew up. I even want to get out of my business and into another productive career. I wish there was outreach to people like you. Maybe post a video on what everyone thinks about getting an apprentice for your business and videos. It might not work out and you obviously say that to your audience and the candidates.

Do you have a method to organizing sockets?
@autofanaticcars
@autofanaticcars 6 жыл бұрын
Rich Tran i use. twist lock socket organizers that are magnetic and stick. to the drawer bottoms easily even with these thick rubber liners in place.
@stever5887
@stever5887 6 жыл бұрын
Rich--I started to answer you myself, but your question was so general I didn't know where to begin. What type of sockets do you have?: Chrome or black oxide; impact, shallow, mid-depth or deep-well; extractor sockets for removing rounded-over fasteners; 1/4"-drive, 3/8"-drive, 1/2"-drive or larger; 6-pt, 8-pt or 12-pt; Torx; SAE or metric? Basically, you need to keep the ones you use most in the top drawer(s) of your tool box, service cart or whatever you're using. You didn't specify, but were you talking about storing them on those thin rails with clips, in socket trays (I prefer those made by Mechanics Time Savers, which have a magnetic rubber base); you can buy several makes of plastic trays with vertical rods that are labeled for the various sizes in your set (SAE or metric) or you can keep them in the plastic trays or metal boxes they originally came with at purchase, or make an after-market purchase of same or make your own from materials in your shop. If you're talking about organizing in general, you would try to keep like styles (chrome, impact, extractor, etc.) together, regardless of their drive size to make it easier to locate them when working on a job or project. No doubt, I missed a bunch of others, too, as I rushed through this response, but you get the idea. It comes down to: What type(s) do you have, and what do you hope to accomplish by "organizing" them?
@autofanaticcars
@autofanaticcars 6 жыл бұрын
I use the socket organizers from Craftsman with the strong magnetic base that lock the sockets in, they work great for my drawers and i like the positive lock of each socket. I usually buy extras and add or subtract to each unit to keep things in order
