Nope, that is certainly Arthur Fields singing on selection #2 but you are correct on #6, that is Arthur Fields too. I just looked it up. Thanks Henri!
@henridelagardere2645 жыл бұрын
Irving Kaufman and Arthur Fields sharing the same pseudonym, _Robert Wood,_ might only have added to the confusion. Watching your selections the second time around, after the discographical work is done, is a joy. The new visuals look *fantastic* on the big screen!

@@henridelagardere264 thank you Henri and it helps to know how it looks on the big screen. This program will take me awhile to figure out how everything works. I figured out one of my issues today with it. I hate programs that have default settings, drives me nuts till I figure out how to turn them off.

Praise Jesus I found this channel again, i was subscribed a long time ago on an old channel i had long closed, i love old music from this era. I needed to find music to pray for the souls of the victims Wordcliff, the boys died around 1928, just in case some were still in pergatory, i want to make sure they get to heaven. i feel since they were so young it was small venial sins that were unconfessed at time of death, but unfortunately some souls stay in purgatory because no one prays for them, and i am scared they are long forgotten. I feel they deserve to be in heaven asap and since being so young and inocent any catholics watching this say 1 hail mary every day for a week, if we get enough prayers the small errors any young person does in life can be elieviated, also i do not have access to a nearby traditional latin church that does gregorian masses, and i am disabled, can we get volenteers each to pay the stipend for 1 gregorian mass for any of these victims and Sanford who was a victim of sickening stuff by his depraved uncle wordcliff, that after he grew old and died that he be allowed out of pergatory, if he had not spoken up, these children may never of been avenged by a mortal court of law, Sanford was a brave boy and was forever remorseful of what he was forced to do. He grew up to be a war hero, a great father of his children, and a pillar of his community, there were accounts he had times of what sounds like ptsd, i sufeer from life long ptsd from bad stuff in my childhood, if Sanford needs prayers and a few gregorian masses for small stuff in his life to be free please do what we as Catholics need to do. He and any of the young souls that might still be forgotten and no longer remembered when we pray for those in pergetory, the changling was the first movie clip when Sanford told the detectective what had happen and it showed flash backs that was so disturbing i could not watch any more, god brought me to listen to 1928 music in memorial to the boys then i remembered listening to pax41 channel years ago. God bless you for your content. in 2008 i needed to find this era of music and had to turn to the pirate bay, most of the music had little or no seeders making it a slow or impossible download, thank you pax now i dont have to pirate from this era and i even purchased a youtube premium subscription as penance for pirating music and to fund these channels better and pay the artists decendents of the musicians who get the royalties, also my grandad had a jazz band that was some what popular in clubs in ohio in late 1940s after he got back from the Pacific in world war 2. His name was Maurice John Waters, i will get the band's name from my father and post it. God bless Ava Maria

these songs always calms me down. I always get nervous around others, I cannot talk to others. I can talk but i get really nervous when I talk. so I don't, my teacher dosent understand that. she makes me talk in front of the whole class and when she dose she has this smirk on her face and not just that she makes me cry all the time, I'm used to hiding it all in, but sometimes I can't. But when I get home I just listen to this and all the other videos on your Chanel. So thank you!🥰

Bob, 1928 was indeed one of the best years in pop music history, in terms of both compositions and records -- great topic for this presentation. My favorites here are "Out of the Dawn," "I Wanna Be Loved By You" and especially "'Round Evening." Ellington; Louis; McKinney's Cotton Pickers; Whiteman; Trumbauer; Bix; Dorsey Bros. (studio band); Trumbauer; Bix ... just to name a few, were all making great and historically important music in that year. And, too, we had new tunes like "Love Me Or Leave Me"; "Sweet Sue -- Just You"; "You Took Advantage Of Me"; "Diga Diga Doo"; "I Must Have That Man"; "T'ain't So, Honey, T'ain't So"; "Basin Street Blues"; "Cherry"; "A Garden In The Rain"; "Make Believe." A quality year!

What a collection of wonderful songs and I loved the accompanying graphics as much as the music! As usual, the 20's had a style in graphic design that was never reached again. The culture of the 20th century peaked very early then quickly went downhill.
@pax415 жыл бұрын
Ed the graphics from the 1910's and 1920's are some of the best ever created. I agree, things started a downward trend very quickly after the second world war.

Glad you like the music on this post Melanie. The visuals in this video are from 1928. When the videos for a specific year are created I try to keep the visuals from the same year. This would only apply to the videos done in the past year. If the video states 1920s or 1930s, then the visuals are taken from any point in the respective decade.

There’s this song from 1928 that I absolutely love but can’t find it anywhere. It’s called “If We Went Back To Yesterday by Debroy Somers Band.” The channel that had it got deleted and it was 2 songs in one video so it wasn’t titled as that. It was under that name and band in the description but I can’t seem to find it. I was wondering if anyone else knows which song I’m talking about. It became my favorite song and it sort of sucks that its gone from KZbin 😞

I have the Debroy song listed above, it's a waltz. I wonder if the other song was the flip side of the record called Singapore Sorrows.
