Best Trolling Motor for Under 100$! (Minn Kota Endura 30lb Thurst)

One of our local Pawn shops had the Endura 30 lb C2 for sale brand new for $55.00 dollars this last weekend and I got there just in time to buy the last one. Looking forward to testing it out. I wouldn't depend on it in a heavy current but it might be a good backup to my Newport 62 lb thrust motor on my small 10 ft Pelican Bass Raider boat. Nice video.

I'm so glad you tested the speed with a GPS, because it helps to understand what the speed settings do. I wish you had tested this on a small lake where the current wouldn't interfere with the results.

My trolling motor took a crap, I was fishing that day. Went to wall mart to get that bow mount they sell. they were out. So I bought this one, works great for my jon boat, slow and steady. Can run it all day on a charge (fishing, not continuous) on a 94ah battery. I actually like it better than my old 55 thrust because it's small and light. Plus I can rig it on the kayak and my "drift boat" (really just a 12' row boat modified for river fishing)

@@5050fishing I can't think of the model number, but I believe my 55 was at least 15 years old, maybe more. Hand me down from my stepdad and I had it for 8 years and road her hard. On live on the Thunderbay River floodwaters in Alpena, MI. River channel is deep, everything else is shallow (with a few holes) and a shit ton of weeds and stumps. I didn't consider another brand but really wanted the bow mount for the job boat. But for $100 you can't go wrong, I knew I'd get a good motor. Hell, I paid over $60 for new oars and oar locks.

I just put one of these on a 1969 12' v-bottom aluminum rowboat that I dug out from behind a barn. I haven't had a chance to take it out yet. I found the motor at Walmart for $96. Couldn't pass it up. Looks like I may get 3-4mph out of it. I'd be happy with that.

my 55 would go about 3.5 with my row boat, 2 people and gear on water with an average chop. My jon boat about the same. I like to use it trolling for trout on small lakes, nice and quiet.

About the same speed, maybe a hair faster. A kayak doesn't need much to push it but the extra thrust doesn't work out to much more speed because the motor only spins fast enough to push about 4 -5 mph max.

i bought minn kota endura max 40lb and that was mistake never tried it and never will try. i think trolling motors are pointless heavy batteries and worries about distance. waste of money
