Thanks so much for talking about my 18 Tyrant Guard list! Reuben here. I actually started a channel to talk about that list since it was so much fun to run! Please check it out! To answer your questions: 1. I didn't find a weapon loadout on the tyrant guard that I liked the best. They all helped to clean things up. If I had to pick just one loadout, it would probably be the Scything Talons. But I really enjoyed having the different options. And yes, the Crushing Claws went with the Neurotyrant. 2. You are SPOT ON with the commentary on the Termagants. They were kept back behind the line of Tyrant Guard. They could fill in on midboard objectives if I needed more OC on them or they could do some nice overwatch where the Neurotyrant was unavailable. They were extremely helpful and they were absolutely put in there to waste my opponent's time/secondary draw/CP when they would draw Cull the Horde. It happened in every game and no one scored it against me. Fun fact, having my characters guarded by Tyrant Guard also made Assassinate and Bring it Down extremely difficult. Very fun list to play and frustrating list to play against. I discuss all this in my tournament rundown. You have also got to see the prize support! The tournament was WILD! Malceptor + Emissary is such a frustating combo for your opponent, and they have to deal with it because you get right in their face on the objective with all that beef! Id have so games were my Gargoyles etc. live because so much is going into stopping that duo

the norn emissary is still overcosted as hell though. thats probably the main reason id rank synaptic lower than vanguard and invasion. i hope the norn emissary and assimilator come down in points some in december. itd also be nice if the norn assimilator got the harvester keyword for assimilation swarm.

@@Khobai Tbh I'd want them to adjust the emissary's datasheet like they did with other units. Like for example have the lance range attack have 3 attacks and D6+1 damage, Then bump up the # of attacks of the emissary's melee attacks. Simple things like this so the Emissary is more worth the points it's at rn.

Double exocrine and Rupture fex are literally auto includes! I’m planning on running a monster Nid list for 11th edition but would really also love to include genestealers with broodlord. Plus Hive Tyrant, tyrant guard and Swarmlord but need help with how well it would together?

@@samuelfry8192 theyre not cheap at all. look what imperial guard gets for 240 points with a rogal dorn. for 50 points more its packing over twice the firepower of a tyrannofex. tyrannofex are horribly overcosted the only reason people are running them is because tyranids dont have a lot of other options for anti-tank.

@ Bro for under 200 points I think Tfexes are a solid choice plus exocrines, granted some other armies have very strong anti tank choices like guard, tau and elder but most people are having lots of success with double rupture cannon tfexes especially when shooting at the same target 🎯 Have the hive tyrant and Maleceptor near them so they can move and shoot plus -1 to hit. Tfexes are the best they’ve been since being released

Can I make a rather esoteric request? When discussing lists and placings can we also mention the terrain it’s being played upon? there is a distinct difference between GW / WTC / UKTC terrain, with lists designed for GW / WTC not translating very well into UKTC terrain (which rather unsurprisingly is popular in the UK)

a very nice video again. What do you guys say to my 1,5k list? It's not supposed to be a competetive list, but I try to make the best out of the miniatures I visually like. HQ: Hive Tyrant (Perfectly adapted) Neurotyrant Broodlord Winged Prime Battleline: 1x20 Hormagaunts 1x10 Termagants Other: 1 Biovore 1x 10 Genestealers 1x 6 Melee Warriors 1x 6 Zoanthrobes 1x 3 Venomthrobes 1 Lictor 1 Haruspex I am not a big fan of most big bugs. I like the horde style with lot of infanterie and just a few bigger bugs. My favorite are the Warriors and the gants. With Hyper aggression and adrenal surge, the hormagaunts can make some decent dmg to even bigger stuff as well.

Looks like a fun list. Maybe split hormagaunts so you can spread them around a little more. You will have a tough time dealing with all the vehicles that are so common in 10th with only zoans. Even one exocrine just helps so much. Tyrannofex is goated too, but for a more chill game this list looks fun

@Nightghost197 Yeah, I eas thinking about taking in a exocrine already, but I just don't like the look 😅 It's just a 1500pts. List, maybe I'll take in a Tyrannofex in a 2000 list. Don't you think the Warriors, Genestealers and Zoanthropes with their attached heroes are enough to deal with all the vehicles in a 1500 pts. List? The Hormagaunts and the Hive tyrant could also do some decent dmg.

I know! I was surprised by it. I’ve been using zoans+neurotyrant and have been having good success with it. My only complaint is that it’s slow and if it gets out of position it’s totally useless. For how expensive it is sometimes I think I might be better off with another tyrannofex or maleceptor with some more chaff. I also run OOE and friends in my list and that’s my favorite unit in the game currently

@@saintsquelch yeah I’ve found you have to have them in between three objectives. Like in the center of a triangle I try to form. If they are in a good position they absolutely devastate the enemy. Vehicles die, and their blast profile sweeps battle line off the board too

I use double talons on mine because it looks cooler. Still annoying though miners can't use all melee weapons. Monsters need a buff so much

Wouldn’t 6 Tyrant Guard being led by any Tyrant give up cull the horde? The Guard have 24 wounds for the unit of 6 and adding a Tyrant gives 9-10. The total wounds for the unit would be 33-34 meeting the second criteria for cull the horse. “The total of wounds characteristics of the models in the destroyer unit was 25+ (at its starting strength)” Or do you not count the character’s wounds?

The wounds from the Tyrant would not count, becuase the Tyrant is not an Infantry model.

Emissary is the competitive choice. But Assimilators have their most potential in Nexus

This is actually the best detachment for both. Players want the reduction of the AP, you want your norn to be 2+ or 3+ on saturation. But also for the fall back shoot and and charge. Also the +1 in advance to rush the objectives (emissary want to seat on objective T1) and the +1 to charge for the assimilator. Nexus if just perfect for the norns :)

Thanks for the videos, appreciate the work it must take to do this. That being said, I would ask that you do a bit more prep for the commenting on list use and what it can do. It might even be possible to see a stream of some lists in use so where possible, this would enhance your content. The production is a little weak and the flow of audio is frustrating to listen to with so many ums and errs.
