with the hot wire on the bolt in the fuse box how did you set that up? Did you have to take off the positive on your battery while you unscrewed the fuse bolt and squeezed the wire in between the fuse bolt nut u unscrewed and the metal?

Where did you mount them on the passenger side? I put some on my 2011 but the passenger side lights are visible when you walk about 5ft away from the car. I tucked the driver side in but the passenger side gave me hell. Great video!

Thanks for the comment, I put them in the frame on both sides a few inches in from the side skirt, idk if 11-12 is the same tho!

Hey I have a mustang gt 2014 s197 also. Why does the transmission make that clunk noise after you shift gears and give it gas it’ll make a tiny clunk noise right before you give it gas. I heard it on your car but don’t know if it’s normal or not

Nice video! got some questions about this kit! What fuse do you have this connected to? and does it still turn on with the car turned off? if not what turns it on and off?

Yeah, so I didn’t wire it to a fuse that wire near the fuse box was just the ground wire, I ran the hot wire to the battery and that makes it come on and off even if the car is off! If you have any more questions just let me know!

@@PerfectBuildsGarage Having it connected directly to the battery without a fuse or switch, does it not drain your battery? I seen a lot of underglow reviews where peoples car battery got drained overnight when connected directly to the battery, even when the lights are off. How is your battery after all these months?

Mine was fine it didn’t drain it at all...maybe they had a short and didn’t realize it or they got a cheap kit not sure!

So I’ve installed these before on another mustang but just picked them up to put on my own now. How did you end up mounting the rear set to keep them out of visibility? I mounted them as close as I could to the edge if the rear bumper and put tiny zip ties to help hold but if you walk away from car they are visible and I don’t care for that. Trying to come up with ideas of how to hide out of sight.

Nah, a n/a car shouldn’t get hot enough for engine bay heat to melt a wire like that..you can always run them somewhere else if that’s something you’re worried about but it’s been 6 months and mine is still fine!

@@PerfectBuildsGarage oh okay! I’m fbo with longtubes that get pretty toasty. So I was curious. I impulse bought some underglow, saw some guys run it all through the fender well but seems straight down the engine bay will be best.

I would say they won’t melt…I mean think about the temps like 250 even if it’s not touching it won’t melt, if make sure they are secure tho so they don’t slide and touch your headers!
