The song was initially featured on the soundtrack of the American film She's Having a Baby (1988). Ed Drewitt... I think that's right. I was at McCormicks landing in Newport Beach... decades ago. This guy came out on the stage. It was also my dance floor. Same level. He was there. Standing next to me. In an overcrowded rowdy room. And then I hear "Ladies and Gentlemen, The Police". (I had to capitalize that). And there he was, next to me. Telling me to get away from him. "Don't Stand so close to me". I was totally freaked out. And he was next to me, which is cool because he is a person. This guy, right here... he reminds me of him. But there will not be another Sting. That's must the way music is.

These judges were off regarding Lewis Fuller's performance. It was captivating, beautiful and very romantic. The problem with their judgement against him he was not screaming in his song like many of these singers do! Amanda and the other lady judge have no romantic bones in their bodies!

OMG. I love singing talent so much. I was there once, really. I sang in so many sanctimonious locations, and I mean that in a positive way. They were beautiful. But they did not have to represent everyone. But still it was special. It's our mutual history even though some try to deny it. I'm just so inspired by watching such young talented people. I hope I have one more shot at singing, somewhere,. for any event. I think not.

Tim Newman, omgosh he was amazing, such talent at a young age. So sorry he was on the street at 13 years old. parents need to take responsibility for their children. Open your eyes parents be a parent. Our children aren't perfect and either are we. So we must stop, listen and work together for them in life. I lost my daughter, if i had better direction and a ear to hear, i believe she would still be here.

These auditions are great !! I wish closed captions were available on all the videos. I miss a lot of what is being said by the contestants and the judges as a result of the accents, soft voices, etc. Some of them do but not this one.
