The chef is very young, around 20 years old. The seasonings consist oyster sauce, msg, salt, sugar... As I observe when it was cooked in the open area. Lots of shaoxing wine.

great vdo and very informative. we will definitely check out this new outlet in Petaling Street, hope it will be worth it to visit based on what is shown in this vdo. honestly, the other Lai Foong at the old kopitiam was a disapointment! after all those good reviews we came across, we decided to try it, and turned out to be our first and last. most of the lala only shells without the meat and the taste below expectation, just to name a few...
@sara_khong3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! What kind of information do you like that makes you say its informative? I had tried the old one too and I must say this is better. I think smooth operation helps improve the quality/ serving/presentation. Try again, and let me know how it goes!

The secret seasoning is MSG... lots of it
@sara_khong3 жыл бұрын
Promised the shop not to mentioned their seasonings but I assure you they use sauces that common household like mine have at home. MSG is a common ingredient in Malaysia's street food yes. But it's not the only ingredient that provides that prized umami flavour. A lot of our seasonings helps plus it occurs naturally in some fresh produce like mushroom ;)
