I recently started making asmr rp videos or whatever the proper term may actually be. I wouldn't have thought these settings would make such a drastic difference over what I had been doing. I tried them with a video I have recorded but hadn't began editing just to hear the difference and holy crap. You earned a sub from me for the help.
@sentimentaloldme9 ай бұрын
The most important effect if you are uploading to KZbin is Loudness Normalisation... Which should be done at the very end... You can make your audio as loud as you like but when you upload to KZbin they will reduce the volume.. On the other hand if it's too low they will NOT increase the volume..

Nice & concise, just like the last version!! However, I did notice two changes: in this one, you started with Noise Reduction instead of making it the final step, and during the Compressor part, you don't have make-up gain selected like you did before. Is there a reason for both of those changes? I assume they produce more optimal results, but perhaps it was just personal preference. Thanks again!!

It kinda just depends on your own setup/sound, but I found it didn't do as great as it used to for my audio. It may still work great for others though!

If you ARE gonna use the EQ settings, I think treble and bass are the best out of the set of options. It's just for my personal audio it usually takes more than it adds. I definitely recommend playing with it though and see how it sounds on your end

Hey, great video! I'd love to know more why you're using stereo for audio recordings and not mono? You could make a video about that! ;)
@fonesrphunny72426 ай бұрын
Some video editing software will pan a mono track all the way left. It's kinda stupid, but also stupid easy to fix. Other than that there is no reason, unless you actually have a stereo input.

I need help. I have three good mikes and use Sony ACID and Audacity software to record. I have a new windows 11 dell pc and when recording on any of the mikes and using any of the ACID or Audacity software the mikes pick up voice frequencies very well but when recording music or singing the software turns off the mikes. Seems like both software only excepts voice frequencies via a mike. When I take music from a CD then both softwares record all of the music and singing fine just not through a mike. Can you help me?

After doing these steps my audio sounded significantly quieter than before editing so I "Loudness Normalized" it to -13 db. Usually I compress and then loudness normalize but am looking for a better sounding final product. Does the order of compressing and normalizing matter? and what is the difference between loudness normalizing and normalizing?
@BizarreVA11 ай бұрын
If I'm remembering right, loudness normalizing will set a threshold for audio peaks so your audio can't be louder than a set amount. Then normalizing is just averging the entire audio to one solid audio wave, which I've usually seen only make it louder

You should try testing if you record with the right mic. The name does not matter if you use the intended mic.

You obviously do not understand how the settings work in Audacity or what they mean.... let me tell you were you went wrong. 1. the Host should be ASIO if people have that option, there are plenty people just like you who do not understand what the difference between ASIO and MME is. MME is a windows host and not your external audio interface, which have ASIO drivers for lower latency. 2. the project sample rate should be what you selected in the windows audio settings especially when you select MME as the host, since ASIO have its own drivers this would not be a problem if you had two different sample rates. 3. the sample format you selected if one that even many audio interfaces do not support, the entry and mid tier audio interfaces are mostly interger that means not ,0000 digits after the comma, interger is whole numbers, which will be less stressfull on the system. You selecting MME and 32 bit floating point is contradicing and overkill for what you want to do. So go to your windows setting look for audio and go into the audio setting and look for your devices for output and input go in those settings and see what you have selected there and use those setting, which will probably be 44.1 Khz and 16bit. if you want higher and if you do not have an external audio interface make it 48Khz and 24bit (interger). If you do have an audio interface go to the audio setting of that device and look for those settings, there you probably will select the same settings, which are 48Khz and 24bit (interger) BUT select ASIO in audacity in the host drop down.

@SoulYESChannel7 ай бұрын
I've used Audacity for years and never had random clicking sounds. They've always come from me or keyboard or something else in the environment. Sounds like if you do a test by changing out your mic and/or headphones you can discover the culprit.
