The Source for Sports equipment is available in Canada only. In the states we are getting a line from CCM called "Vector" based off the Tacks design. It looks like it is the same thing as the Matrix and Control line, higher features on lower priced products. The Vector line is skates, gloves and pads. I'd love to have you guys get a look at them and hear your thoughts.

I love my CCM VECTOR skates , i have had them for 4 years and they are great . Source for Sports is great .

Wrong info buddy, the vector plus or vector premier skates are a source for sports exclusives, which, is only based in canada 🇨🇦. Also, sfs, don’t ship to the 🇺🇸 You would need to find them online from a 3rd party seller.

@@romahnae you can buy them in the USA at independent pro shops. I have a pair of the of Vector Premier gloves that I bought at my local rink in Tampa Fl. They had the Vector skates for sale too.

The Source for Sports are available in the US as well, maybe only online though... We got the lowest Vector skate model to a sport store in Sweden, tried it but did not like it...

I woukdnt forget about the Vapor Shift X from Source for Sports. Theyre essentially the X5 Pro but cheaper. Like the Matrix and the M50 Pro.

This still blows my mind, I'm literally an absolute beginner in hockey just started skating lessons and want the whole shebang, any videos that are current for beginners on a budget of around the £750 mark

Control skates come with Step V steel, no need to purchase better steel. Info online is spotty and often incorrect but I live up in Canada and have these skates and can confirm they come with Step V Steel

I honestly don’t think V Steel is great. Much, much better than XS 🤢. But still not great. DLC is the way forward

the ccm control skate it is similar to the ft690?? or totally diferent?

I’ve noticed a trend with smu skates. They’re typically 170 in stiffness rating, and have reinforced top and bottom eyelids. I believe both skates are 170. The tendon guard (inner portion) on ft690 is similar to the ft6’s while the control is similar to the ft680. I personally prefer the thicker, and smoother one on the ft690. Both skates have the same tongue from the ft6 pro. Ft690 has ft6 footbed (red and black) control i believe has ft670’s footbed. (If it’s all red, that’s the one) I believe ft690 features the liner from ft6. Control skates are a mixture of both ft6 and ft680 (inner tendon guard area)

This is anecdotal but I live in Canada and was recently deciding between the True Arc and Bauer Matrix. I loved the Arcs except the toe box was too narrow for my toes. They fit better in every other area but I felt like my toes would go numb. I bought the Matrix but still think about the True skates so much I may get some custom SVH in the spring.
