I use same oil , but the one with gold label 20 k mile , from Walmart,also I pump the oil from the dipstick, with a 20 dollar pump from eBay , it takes more oil that from the bottom.

In my experience, cars that have the oil filter on the bottom are usually meant to be serviced from the bottom. Mercedes/Audi for example have their oil filters at the top so I extract oil from tube. Either way, that's cool that you're doing it from the top. Do you like the FUMOTO valves? I LOVE them and have it on all my Lexus/Toyotas and Jeeps. Makes oil changes so easy.

I like the valve mainly because it allows you to "switch over" the valve and all the oil is drained quickly and not messy. Also, it doesn't destroy my oil pan with constant new washer and drain bolt getting torqued on. I know you don't "have to", but I change my oil every 5K miles or twice a year regardless.

@@512TXSDIY yes you have to ever 5 k , i do mine every 3000 , because I have 190 and 160 k miles on my cars , also I use 505 crf engine cleaner

It's cheap insurance for sure. Oil is cheaper than a new engine.
