As a simple sandbox 2 player i agree that the game is very fun with a very realistic water (in graphics not realism) ,if you didn't see the realistic water you need to turn ultra water on and you will see heaven in that water But the downgrade is that the game has toxic players,clans and a lot of hackers since nullcoder released a mod menu of simple sandbox 2 The hacker problem became worse because of gaz mod menu but now its getting less problematic

I used to play dmod before discovering Xash, before the update, there were more spawnable npcs(Male_04 half life 2, Kleiner Half life 2, Barney Half life 2, father grigori half life 2 (without his iconic dope shotgun), and even a manhack half life 2, but no Alyx or combine and metrocops with stunstick or gun (big sad ☹️)), there was only one map (which was dm_construct), because to get more maps, you have to download them from some sketchy website. Also, back then guns in dmod had unlimited ammo (and not 999) Also, the shotgun before the update could delete npcs from existence (it would kill the npc and the ragdoll wont spawn) After the update there was _a bit_ more fun to play (i managed to create a "haunted" gman npc using balloons that can hover around and even kill players(me) if a balloon hits them. Also i found that map editor exists, and created gm_flatgrass and one of the buildings from gm_construct instead of taking FULL gm_construct and flatgrass from "the workshop" because people who created flatgrass didn't even TRY to make it look like gm_flatgrass, but FULL gm_construct, well... It crashed the game because the map is so big. Also, i used to spawn kajillion of random props, find a red cart from half life 2 and collect crates to drive them inside the building of gm_construct and break it (the crate could break, unlike before the update), then find some knife-shaped wood plank from the broken crate and walk around the map with it, like am "cool" (even tho it was singleplayer and ONLY singleplayer) or either collect those knife-shaped planks like im Gabe Newell from Valve with the biggest collection of them), so even though the game has *_-ADS,-_* playing it before discovering Xash was an experience.
