Thats what i did. Took spots on my place that were already good and made them better

Such a great strategy...you can't force this stuff!

@@whitetailhabitatsolutions9751 no you can not. There was an opening almost in the center of out place that is about 1/4 acre. We out in a small plot and man were the deer in there. I saw a few good bucks in there including my target buck. At 15yds but no good shot. I no u say not to put kill plots in the center but it seems to work for us. There are already scrapes in there. From the deer. The does seem to bed closer to the main 2 acre plot. We still have good depth of cover tho

As you look at the flow of movement, do you prefer to have the mock scrape on their approach to the waterhole from bedding, or after the waterhole?
@whitetailhabitatsolutions97516 ай бұрын
I don't think any further than making sure the scrape is on the deer trail, and both are in view of a potential trail cam location. The scrape is typically within 10-15' of the waterhole.

I wonder if michigan would consider a waterhole baiting though. I took mine out because the law seemed unclear

I got my Tom with my bow Sunday. Also found nest with 15 eggs in my switch grass around a plot of winter rye. I seen a hen disappear a couple weekends apart in that area so it was cool to find a nest where it used to be ag just two years ago. Also heard a lot of pheasants. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

Attartants don't work meaning gimmicks! Controlling the line of movement is best, and we control them for sure with some of the things you teach right here. Enhance the line of movement and watch your success increase its a game of %'s always! Great information again Jeff! Gimmicks are a no win they educate your deer! Then your %'s decrease with the increase of deer education that simple! Have a great day!

9 times outa 10 I hear the snap of an acorn before I see the deer. That’s my attractant. Just have to cut some strategic shooting lanes in the hardwoods.

You should make a video showcasing some of your seeds like when to plant and just offering some pictures of what the product looks like

Hi Connor...baby steps 😁 We actually have a whole new KZbin channel that we will come out with and those videos will be added to every seed product. Coming soon... Appreciate the push Connor 😁 Something "on the list", ha...

Understand keeping waterholes from food plots or food plots from bedding areas, but what about feeders? Have a mock near a feeder, but would a nearby waterhole ruin the area? Thanks
@whitetailhabitatsolutions97516 ай бұрын
I treat feeders the same as a food plot...in fact a feeder can be even more powerful! Also a feeder is not necessarily an all day visit for a mature buck, but a waterhole near a bedding area or cruising area is. Definitely the same reasons to separate them...

Hey Jeff. On public I found a scrape about 5 yards off an intersection of 5 very active (in season) trails between bedding and food. At the intersection is a small clearing about a 5-7 yards circle. There is water about 250 yards away but NOT between food and bedding. It seems like a great spot for a water hole. What do you think?
@whitetailhabitatsolutions97516 ай бұрын
You will have to check with how legal it is ..but it sounds like a perfect spot!

How deep do you go when getting soil samples for food plots?
@whitetailhabitatsolutions97516 ай бұрын
Just around 4" at most. Really those top 3-4" is all that matters when it comes to no tilling. But even in light tilling, that top 4" is what is critical ...

Doe estrus is overrated and overused, but I can't count how many times ive had a buck divert from its path to investigate and several have stuck their nose inches from the bottle and took a whiff

I ordered some seed from you and shipped much faster than the original company you used to push and got updates about order. Not nocking on the other company because they sell great seed just no communication on shipping and shipping seemed higher. Keep up the great info

Thanks a lot for the comment and purchase Dale! Between Jen and Wes... especially Wes...they get the seed generally out in 1 business day. We also attempt to get the best shipping price using multiple vendors and have it integrated into our site so that it constantly gives you the best rate we can find 😊 We appreciate you very much ..thank YOU! It helps when we own the company instead of being on the outside looking in and having no control....we really try to do our best!

I'm always confused when I hear people say he's either 6 or 6 and a half so you're saying they were born in the middle of December!?!?!? because any deer that would happen to give birth around here would be dropping a baby in 4 to 7 ft of snow and I feel like for most of the country the deer is either 6 and 1/2 or 7 and 1 / 2 not 6 or 6 and 1/2
@whitetailhabitatsolutions97516 ай бұрын
I have 5 kids. They are 4 weeks old, 2 years old, 18, 22 and 23 years old. If you've had kids and they were 4. Or 6. Or 3. Did you say they are 4.5 years old when they were 54 months old? Or 6.5 years old when they were 78 months old? Neither did I, and it's the same with deer. With the exception of a non hinter or anti hunter, anyone knows when deer were born...which is even more an advantage then a child whom unless you know them as close family, you have no clue when their birthday is. Every deer hunter with just little experience knows deer are born around June 1st give or take a month...at least a very high % of deer. To be honest most deer aren't even at 6 months during the season...they could be 3.3 years old...3.7 years old, etc. And just like kids ..you don't round up. So when you say 6...just like kids...they are in their 6th year. IF that buck was born on 6/1 and it's 11/1, 6 1/2 years old would be accurate. However if it's 9/1 and he was born on 7/1, 6 and 1/6th is most accurate. The point? There shouldn't be any confusion..."6" is most accurate when that buck is somewhere between 6 and 1/6th, and 6 and 5/6ths years old, depending on when your season begins, ends and when the buck was actually born.

I just think it's silly to describe something in half years. When a person says "I'm 30" that doesn't mean I was born exactly 30 years ago today. A deer is 6 until he or she turns 7.
