🇲🇪 Best Way to Get Around Montenegro 2022 Travel | Kotor to Herceg Novi

Traveling to a different country can be pretty scary so follow along our Journey from Kotor Montenegro to Herceg Novi Montenegro to get an idea of how easy it can be to travel in Montenegro or the Balkans in general.
Montenegro is located in the Balkans and the best way to travel to and from the country is actually by bus. Bus routes are frequent and take mostly direct routes making them a great option. 2022 Travel.
TIPS:
1. Show up 15-20 minutes before your bus to get tickets and avoid getting them online (you will end up paying a lot more and then you will face different fee charges when you are=rive at the station) We read reviews about people paying 2 Euros for bus station fees at several stations and also about paying twice the price for mobile tickets.
2. If you are coming into or leaving the country and you want to put your bag under the bus you will probably have to pay a fee, we paid 1 euro per bag from Herceg Novi to Dubrovnik.
3. If you take a bus to Budva from Podgorica expect it to be full since they use the local buses instead of charter buses for this trip. There was also no air conditioning so it was hot on the trip.

We were in Montenegro for about a month from mid April towards the end of may. In Kotor we were there at the beginning of May. Something really special during this time is the welcoming of summer festival. We attended the one in Budva and it was brilliant! :) humidity wasn't high every day, it was 50/50 perfect/humid. We have a bunch of videos on Montenegro if you want to check it out, we thought it was a really special country ❤👍

It's rather mild during that time if you're used to humidity then :) I've heard it's "dry" in the summer(July) but I have spent every summer month in the region and it's very hot in July. I would recommend mid may for beginning of summer and all month in June if you want to party on the beaches, budva is a very popular summer destination for parties. Happy travels to you as well. We will be setting off on a north america trip in a couple weeks 😁

I see that they (bus station workers) dont pay any attention for wearing masks in public transport... Did You have any situation when You had to wear it in public transport in Montenegro? Do people Wear it or ignore it?

Montenegro is completely free of covid restrictions and has been for some time. The only place we have been recently that required them on public transportation was in Greece and only 50% wore them. Croatia, England, and the Netherlands do not require anything either. (Those are the countries we have been to recently).
