Before going Andrew ng machine learning course you should learn python and numpy , pandas, matplotlib,scikit learn and mathematics like linear algebra, eigen values and eigen vectors and statistics for engineering then you will be able to understand machine learning

@@nitish.r.maladakar3807 on IIT M BS Data Science course page you will find notes on linear algebra, also you may download the linear algebra notes of Andrew NG from Stanford University's CS229 ML course page. You should refer to IIT Guwahati's Summer Analytics course for learning complete numpy, pandas, matplotlib, and seaborn. Also that course will prove more useful than Andrew NG's lectures alone, since it contains much much more material than any course page, also it has links to Andrew NG's popular videos and other creator's videos which are very very informative and useful. It guides you through the entire ML pathway, so IIT G summer analytics will be best choice for learning ML in general. Not attaching the links to those course pages as the addresses are changing continuously, so better plain google search them. All the best!

Yes that is correct and the description includes the latest version. My idea here was to state that most of the algorithms taught in this course are not directly used in the building of production ML systems. Hope that clears it up!

I did those courses in my 1st year of college but later I found that he has missed many algorithms and mathematical concepts in the way . So I dont recommend them for anyone who want to build a base for ml . I liked the nlp course tho.

He should say how we moved from RNN/LSTM/GRUs to transformers. Transformers are still based on neurons. Components of Transformers that are multi-head attention, and Feed forward layers are still based on NN.
