Had one for about 2 years now - and have 100s of hours invested . Phenomenal FPGA console . Also have the n8 pro in both the nes and famicom version and it’s also flawless . It’s def the ultimate way to play . Don’t have an NT mini but I doubt it justifies 3x the price

Have you compared the sound of Ninja Gaiden from to real NES to an AVS retro? In another video I heard the comparison and it sounded muffled and faint. Not horrible, but it was off. What is your take or experience? Thx.

@@sackchief Wish there was a capture card that worked over the network. My TV setup is across the room from my PC, and I'd rather just shoot the HDMI signal over TCP/IP and pick it up via a software client. There are ways of doing it -- HDMI extenders, basically -- but they're non-trivially priced.

If i set the avs pixel aspect to 4 click,should I also set the tv 4:3 ,Im using a LG 4K tv with a similar menu to that one you are using on the video

If you do that it might be too narrow. My solution is to set the slider all the way to the right and then set your TV to 4:3, it'll give you the perfect aspect ratio.

Just bought an AVS, anyone know how many times you have to insert/remove a cart before it takes less than 50 lbs of force to insert/remove one? I wanted to be able to play my old games without breaking them and scraping lines in the back of the plastic carts. ( No I am not at all being even slightly sarcastic )

I’m thinking about getting one I play on original hardware and I have quite a few carts and this looks more reliable then the original nes I’ve already had to replace my pin connector and that can get annoying to do all that

@@sackchief I am with it , I got it back in a day about 2012 , when there was no others or even earlier do not remember exactly when. the down side is that the NES POWERPACK do not work on clones and even on some original consoles too! :( , but there are unofficial save states mappers they are much better then everdrives's ones awesome and even have turbo function for the original controllers !

As dumb as it sounds, I have had my retropi lag or bug a bit even with NES emulation. Nothing beats an actual system.

While this is a good way, you should do yourself a favor and look into setting up your own MiSTer using the DE-10 Nano FPGA board. Flawless NES, plus SNES, Genesis, Neo Geo, GB/GBC, GBA, and tons more. Cheaper to put together too.
