BEST WAY to Shiny Hunt Virizion, Terrakion and Cobalion in the Crown Tundra Pokemon Sword and Shield

This video shows two different methods of hunting the Swords of Justice (Terrakion, Virizion, Cobalion) in Pokemon Sword and Shield in the Crown Tundra expansion! These are some of the best resets we have available to us and should make for some really awesome quick hunts!!

@@VinnyInTheLab I have a question about this now. Been using this method, and testing to see if it has new stats by throwing a master all every now and then to check, then resetting. The stats change, but it seems locked to the timid nature. Have I done something wrong?

@@juancarloscuba should be 1/1365 with a Shiny charm. Full odds without. But I think that 3% to be 1/512 happens if you do the 500 knock outs?

If you did the standard soft resetting method for strong spawns that uses the date skip or just ran from it and saved on the spot you were encountering different ones, either way glad this helped, hope you get it soon!

You mentioned you can’t get Keldeo, but you can. Takes a certain location and certain mechanics to make it appear. Trying to avoid spoilers just in case you don’t want them.

You actually can get keldeo in the game. You need to have captured the 3 legendary first. Talk to sonia again. Then go to an island next to the tree of the galarian legends, and cook in that island. Keldeo will appear.

First method was strong spawn resets without needing to date skip. The camp method can continually be done and requires no soft resetting.

So then I have to ask, could the knock out method technically be used with the camp reset method? If so then that would mean a lot of shiny hunters would just need two pokemon total for the hunts. A setup/False swipe mon and a pokemon to ohko the sword that is being hunted. After some testing myself, it seems that you can knock out the pokemon you're hunting, use camp, and then reset the encounter that way. I just want to know if this is a logical hunting method or if would be easier to just reset the cobalion after fleeing then set camp. I can seemingly two shot the cobalion with a lvl 100, 5iv (no atk iv) modest duraludon with full sp atk investment.

I don't think it would prevent it so long as you're running, it's impossible to test for sure but I don't see how it would get messed up so you should be good.

The runaway on the first encounter is necessary to cause a new spawn each reset. If you're doing the reset method, encounter the first spawn, run, save and then reset. You don't need to run after the you've saved with it despawned.

You can't catch it, you can do anything else. I'd suggest running.

You have to run from it, then set up camp, each terrakion should be different then. If you're doing soft resets, encounter it, run then save, and then when you soft reset each terrakion will be different. If you are doing that make sure your lead pokemon doesn't have the "synchronize" ability.

I’ve been trying the base camp method for Virizion with a lvl 92 Blaziken in the first slot and every so often it says “can’t get away” meaning I’m getting a different speed stat every time. Good to know it works Correct me if I’m wrong

Technically you could just be getting bad rng but virizions speed stat changing definitely could be the cause

@@VinnyInTheLab Ahh okay, it could be RNG. Although I switched to my lvl 100 Mew because my Blaziken kept dying and the “can’t get away” issue never happened again. But it’s good to have another confirmation that the camp method works due to different speed stats. Good spot on finding that methodology, way better than soft resetting. Thanks for the reply :)

I would recommend putting a smoke ball on the blaziken for the 100% flee succession. I was having the same issues with my duraludon while hunting cobalion, a quick smoke ball equip was enough to make the setup that much quicker.
