I'd be worried about the plastic used on that shoe organizer. Depending on heat, humidity, and simply time in contact with a figure... plastic like that could possibly adhere to the figure and discolor plastic, or stick to paint apps and pull them off. NECA specifically are heavily painted. Also, wall space, oof. I personally get acid-free bags and put them in gasketed, latching bins for storage... but I don't need quick access to them like a photographer might.

They're about the size of a ream of paper, and I can fit several 6" to 7" figures into a single container. Additionally, the figures are separated in quart size plastic bags (w/ extra hands & accessories) and labeled by toy line (i.e. Batman, Superman, SW- Imperials, SW-Rebels, etc). Then, I stack them on black plastic shelf units in my basement. Yeah, it's a lot of containers, but I have a lot of figures and vehicles!

You do know just because you think putting it in loose pockets is a great idea, your figures is now exposed to the natural elements such as mold, oxidization, dust, sunlight, smoke (if someone in y our family smokes cigarettes), and most importantly there are basically levels of PVC or translucent materials (from shrinking plastic clear paper all the way to acrylic thick clear or frosted sheets) to make a protector for your precious figures so it won't get damaged is what we are dealing with. Also, there is also the x-factor, which is, the better condition your storage is, the more care you are with it when handling it, that is something those collector boxes provide because its like a toy's tool box.
@thepropcollector13 ай бұрын
@@lorddevil863 I see what you mean, however its been about a yr now and the figures are in great shape they dont have anything that you mentioned except dust and its not even that much. @lorddevil8633 ай бұрын
@@thepropcollector1 You misunderstood me, I ain't saying your way of storage is wrong or anything, but like I said, there are a lot of ways to storage your figures that suits different people with different needs. If you made a video on how you like to storage then that's fine, be my guest, but telling someone else that their way of storage is less innovative kinda sounds weird to me. I know because for me, I can't even get dust on my figures since my location has high humidity, I had mold growing on some figures recently even tho I had them in acrylic enclosed cases fortunately I checked on them regularly and got it mostly cleaned off.
@courtstansifer25533 ай бұрын

No, just no. Maybe for legends and black series with little to none accesories but Necas is a NO.
