I bought an expensive juicer that I don't use anymore. Even though I'd put the pulp through it a couple of times to get out as much fiber as possible there was still a lot left that didn't go into the juice. I bought a VitaMix blender last year and blend up the ingredients until they're smooth. I don't lose any fiber this way, plus it's lots easier. (A juicer is an absolute pain to wash.) Gillian doesn't know what she's talking about at times. It's almost embarrassing. Her recommendations are outdated, but considering this series is from 2009 I guess she was just going along with the advice of that period. I don't know why I even watch this show.

@@absolutetruthgirl it’s been proven in studies that bullying and cruelty doesn’t help people lose weight, it typically has the opposite affect. so, yeah she could use more compassion. she lost weight in the short term, but what about the rest of her life? the show doesn’t check in with them after and i doubt many of them were able to develop lifelong healthy habits with this approach.

It's a mix. You need somebody to tell you the truth, which hurts. It makes the person feel exposed and weak, it's tough. You will then need to feel like you're still loved, that somebody is there to help you and support you through the changes that are coming
