WD40 on a laptop isn't a good idea. I'd suggest using a soldering iron if you have no luck using an elastic band.

"I got the right size" and the bit keeps slipping, yea right. The fix = get better screwdrivers. Never had this problem with small electronics and I've been fixing them for 15 years. Rubberband thing might also work.

Put a small drop' just a little drop as possible of super glue on the spot that putting screw so that it will just stuck fine so that you can use the screwdriver well...

In utter disgust and exasperation I chucked in the bin this morning a plug I bought from a well known supermarket. I was doing what I thought was a simple routine plug change and it would have been simple and routine if on the new plug only one screw obliged me and unscrewed itself. Everything else simply would not budge. What does it tragically tell us about plug manufacturers when such a seemingly simple change of plug ends up having to be shown to a professional in the hope that professional can deal with screws which have obviously been sealed in with superglue? Or is it done deliberately so we have to spend a big fee getting a professional to deal with one of these faulty products? The plug I was changing dates from the 1990's and was a piece of cake unscrewing. What were plug manufacturers doing right in the 1990's that they refuse to do now?

If you look closely at his screw driver he is trying to use a hex screwdriver on a phillips head screw. That is the first reason it would not unscrew.

I had a small screw holding an a/c filter I needed to clean and I was beyond frustrated because the screw would not break free. So, I mixed up your suggestion, a tiny amount of canola oil and vinegar, I then used a cotton swab to apply the mixture to the screw. After a few minutes, and remembering to lefty loosey the screw came loose! Thank you SO much!

DONT spray the wd40 like the guy in the video, spray it in a cup or on paper or something then put a little drip onto the screw, liquid and circuits dont mix well together, sure it may not be conductive but it still isnt good for whatever device you are using

Use silicon oil ONLY. All the others damages plastic (makes it soft like a rubber). Also it doesn't trigger corossion and is save for electrical eqipment.
