I had mailed them regarding the same that they have not mentioned anywhere that the tenures need to be continuous, then two possibilities arise. They mailed me that unless it is mentioned we should assume that the tenures are continuous. If not continuous they would mention the terms can be in different years. Butni remember solving another sum where the tenure was not mentioned distinct but different years were given. Got me confused.

1951 -83 isn't 33 years If 32 years is total than one among 1951/1983 is not being counted Confused about it

No in tenures it's counted just like your age...you complete whole 1year then 1 is counted...means if someone becomes governor at 1951 he has to wait till 52 to complete 1 year.. that's why it's simply subtracted
