At 6:20 Dr. Waldemar Carlo mentions a meta-analysis from Cochrane about using a higher RR with mechanical ventilation. Do you happen to know what meta-analysis he's referring to? Thanks for the great content!

Dr. Carlo mentioned when you add a pneumotach to the circuit during volume ventilation, this adds 2 ml/kg of tidal volume? So, for example if your giving 4ml you are in fact giving 6/ml? Trying to make sure I understand this correctly. Thank you so much for these videos! Keep them coming

What he's trying to say is that is actually adds dead-space. So if you input your delivery of tidal volume to the baby at 4.5ml/kg, but the dead-space is 1.5ml/kg, the baby may actually only be getting 3ml/kg in the lungs. This would be below FRC (functional residual capacity) and causing frequent desats and "failure." Hope this helps.
