One big problem with that approach is, you can't change the output much... like lighting, white balance, etc. And droid cam app is open source and buggy at sometimes and even crashes... Not to mention the delay between video and audio because you'll still have to use laptop or your headphone's mic. For professionals, an expensive webcam is the only option

I use DroidCam wirelessly, and have been using the same setup for last 17 months of non-stop WFH. The Realme 5 Pro is way better than any other Webcam I have tried within 9K!

Really happy with the Logitech C922 Pro. The out of the box picture isnt great but with a little tweaking of the settings or using the Logi Capture software it can get way better.

Hey Prateek, since you've covered webcam and work from home is on, would suggest you to make a video on headset with external mics which is really important during meeting/con calls/online classes. Audio is really important since most of us just use the laptop mic or cheap earphone and holding mics near our mouth whic really makes it unprofessional. Moreover audio sucks with background noises like fan. All I could see were cheap flimsy headphones. I hope you consider this. Thanks.

Let's say you are buying a webcam , even the cheap decent ones cost over 2k , if you are using a old camera as a webcam , the overall set-up is worth more but at the moment you are only spending ₹1k so it's cheaper.

for all those who say use a phone as a webcam doesn't your phone heat up after say 30 minutes of a continuous video shooting? It doesn't? Then that's strange and if it does, that is the problem using a phone as a webcam. The main problem you can't use it for a long webinar that lasts about 90 minutes or so, it just doesn't work and continued use may damage the phone too.

We do live videos standing about 5 or more feet from the camera, indoor and outdoor...Without spending more than $400 or $500 what do you think would be the best for those conditions. Looking for clear and sharp definition, with a wider angle video. We use a Yeti speaker and it is great for sound, so the speaker is not essential. @@akashsonawaneofficial Install the pc and android apps. Your phone and pc should be on the same network. Open the app on the phone and it should start the network or if it shows a start button, click on it. Open the pc app and on the connect screen you'll get 3 options, 1. Connect over wifi 2. Connect with USB 3. Create WiFi server (This only works if you have the DroidCamX paid app for Android and I don't know how to use it) Select the first option (Connect with WiFi) and enter the IP address and port details shown on your phone. Select what you want, i.e. audio, video or both and click on start. If you have entered the IP and port details correctly on your pc and the devices are on the same network, your phone will connect and your pc app will show a live preview of your phone's camera feed.
