I had an experience of a lifetime as a Marshal day 1 on Zaldains boat. 8’-9 footers is no joke in a bass boat. But Zaldain knows his shit and I knew we’d be alright. He drove the shit out of that Z21. I was blessed to be paired with him. What an awesome dude. 2024 is Zal’s year!

Thank you for giving Barb her due. I'm lucky enough to fish in the same bass club as Barb up here in NY, even won a tournament out of the back of her boat last week. Truly one of the great people in our sport. We are so incredibly lucky to have her up here helping to protect this incredible resource we have. Thanks Chris, great job. I've fished these waters for over 60 years. As tempting as it is to fish the lake for trophies in the summer we avoid it unless conditions are completely safe to do so. I know conventional wisdom says the bigger fish roam the lake this time of year but its not iron clad. I strongly believe that there are arge populations of trophy smallmouth within the river that never see the lake. We do quite well post spawn through ice up on the ledges and humps adjacent to the deeper main river channel. That water coming up from the deep is actually colder than the lake water during summer levels.

I have been fighting with people all year about fizzing fish and them say fizzing kills the fish!! They need to take people like that and drop then of in 50’feet of water

More people need to learn the right way and practice outside of tournaments to see how it keeps them alive and healthy. Livewell a couple, fizz them and see that they stay alive. Learning and gaining confidence will go a long way

It's just downright irresponsible of these tournament directors to allow this technology to be used by professional anglers. Not to mention it's boring to watch.
