Whats the benefit of dipping in salt water?please tell difference in burning quality between with or without salt water
@sosacandles11 ай бұрын
Cleaner Burning: Soaking the wick in salt water might be thought to stiffen the fibers, leading to a cleaner burn with less flickering or mushrooming (wick growing bulbous at the tip). Slower Burning: Salt's presence might be thought to slightly raise the melting point of the wax around the wick, leading to a slower burn. Reduced Sooting: The logic behind this claim is that salt acts as a catalyst, promoting more complete combustion of the wax and reducing soot formation. Skipping the salt soaking step simplifies the candle-making process. This can be especially beneficial for beginners or those who prefer a more straightforward approach. I hope this helps 🙂
