DOOMULUS SUPREME Winston wasn't made to kill, he just pokes. His Tesla Cannon hits regardless of shields and barriers, but the damage ain't much, pretty sure his melee attack does more damage. Unlike other tanks, Winston is more efficient in controlling objectives and payload. His ultimate can wipe an entire team away from the objective, but it does not have the potential to kill, it just pushes the enemy back. That's why he's underrated, but that does not mean that he's not good.

Use your ult to stagger and scout. Primal rage is about displacing and confusing the team. It counters great with Genji as well since it causes so much chaos. Beyond that it's all initiation and making yourself a hard target to kill.

Outside of the constant clips of him dying, I gotta say that I'm really impressed to see Winston at his full potential. Winston seems to excel at really disrupting the team and making it impossible for them to fully mobilize. Also, as a side note, I've NEVER seen a Winston that does this much traveling around the map. Geeze, this guy was everywhere. I imagine it being one of his teammates to constantly look up and see Winston flying around everywhere. He seems to get around better than even Pharah does, lol.

HAHAH. People act like this game requires some astounding skill. It really doesn't. This is a slow paced game compared to true first person shooters like Unreal Tournament 2004 and Quake. These guys would get slaughtered. Wintson is literally autoaim. And Zarya is easy on this slow game.

That was a bit of a non sequitur. I used to love Q3A back in the day, especially Instagib. Overwatch is a completely different kind of game, though. It's actually more of a puzzle solving game than anything else, working as a team to counter the current set of obstacles thrown up by the opposition. So although it might seem like a direct genre rival to Quake, it really isn't. Quake was much more about twitch response, high accuracy and planning over the space of no more than around two seconds into the future. It was primarily working the lizard brain. Overwatch requires SOME of those skills, to a lesser degree, but it works higher cortical functions much harder.

H4rtm4nn it's not mutually exclusive. of course someone whose good at quake would be good at someone like pharaoh, cod to 76 and widow etc. but overall you don't play overwatch as a whole like you would those. the closest comparison is tf2 really, which again, if you're good at other fps will help, but the whole team based objective play and class synergy means past experience will only go so far, and you'd need to learn THAT game instead

This really helps get down winstons playstyle. Constantly harassing and starting fights while never overcomitting, getting to the low health heros that run away the fastest and farm that ultimate for a gigantic swing on objective. Wanting to always finish opponents has really kept me back as winston because he deals damage so slowly.

Both good Winstons and good Meis exist. I believe most of their skill is in fast and precise estimate of situations nd fast and precise reactions. Also, believe it or not, you need good aim to be a good Winston. You mustn't let stray electricity connect to the ground or walls.
