Lots of bass experts making rude comments on here. There is no one true way to play the bass. Everything in music is subjective. I can appreciate anyone willing to put themselves out there.

Thanks for the BTS. That tone really cuts through. I've recently started playing bass on my church's team and have just started building my pedal board out. I like the simplicity of yours and think I'll end up with about the same number of pedals.

There is no video without pedals and great rig. If God has blessed him with this and the guy has shared it to us - it’s a win for everyone. Its a wonderful amp, basses and amazing pedals which just makes the whole thing better

Why aren't you running the bass straight into the compressor then volume pedal
@boomerbutler7569 Жыл бұрын
This is a taste issue, where some bass players (like myself) prefer to have the compressor at the beginning right behind the tuner pedal to get an even signal across to the DI out. Another way of doing it is putting the compressor at the end of the signal chain because you don't want the pedals before the compressor to be highly compressed, which can change the way some of them sound. It's just a preference to put it either before the signal chain like you mentioned or after like shown here.

This was totally going to be my question
@jaypie0864 Жыл бұрын
It really should be compressor first to give any other pedals a consistent signal. Let them compress your signal at the board a second time if you’re giving them too much.

Why are you playing the bass like a guitar?
@jaypie0864 Жыл бұрын
I think you’re a lead guitarist stuck in a bassist role. IMO, bass for worship needs to focus on clarity, pocket and simplicity. It’s a humble position and pedals other than a compressor can be a distraction.

Sounds like your from the 70’s. Modern worship is filled with a lot of different tone and technology
