I don't understand how people complain about a personal ranking when it's clearly your opinion and you are entitled to whichever one you have 🤷‍♀️ about the Fame palette, I find that on me having fair skin and a neutral undertone but leaning more cool I see a difference between the shades and they're not as repetitive as it might seem. i think they put them for your eyes but they can't condone them as ~eye safe~ because lot of people use glitter for their eyes like that anyway and it's a way to not be held responsible if something bad happens even though i'm sure they are in an eye palette for the purpose of being used on the eye tldr; it's basically a way not to get sued i have used one on my eye before and it's so damn pretty but if flecks falls it irritates tf out of your eye so basically if you want to prioritize glam over health it's a thing i will say though that some more bold looks you can use around the eye but not directly on the eye so that's a thing too (like beside or under)

These warnings against using glitter on the eye is because the FDA has yet to approve them, not because they are necessarily harmful. I believe the EU has more leniency regarding glitters. That being said, we're better off being careful with glitter around our eyes even if they are deemed eye-safe.

That's what I did too! Switching out shadows between palettes has been such a great decision. Now all of the pressed glitters I never use are all in one of the 9 pan palettes that doesnt have a mirror.

Another subscriber's comment made me think of a fun video idea for you! You should do a "What I would replace the pressed glitters with!" Take all your ColourPop palettes that have the dreaded pressed glitters and tell/show us what you would replace them with? A cool duochrome? A necessary matte? A sparkling topper? A pop of unexpected color? An inner corner highlight? What would make these palettes perfect instead of the glitters? :)

All I See is Magic is still ALSO my number 1. I discovered Colourpop just months after they discontinued it, but fortunately stumbled across it on Ipsy and bought 2 so I'd have a spare. If CP ever does a vote for a palette resurrection, I'm backing that one. LOVE these rankings of yours!

I feel like colourpop should do pressed glitters as whole palettes that way people who go to festivals/concerts etc and do face glitters or still use it on their eyes can get it for themselves- and then replace the glitters in other palettes with a super shock shadow! I really want to try the makeup shayla palette and the so jaded palette!

I love the big palettes !! So much variety ;) and i know most people may not do this, but I love the ability to switch out the glitter shadows that I don’t like in their palettes, and put in shadows that I love in their place, to make the whole palette exactly what I want ;)

I agree. If I’m paying for a 30 pan EYESHADOW palette I hope for 30 shades I can wear on my eyes. It feels like a waste of money when I’m only getting 28 shades I can use as an eyeshadow. Sell them in a full pressed glitter palette or on their own so those who want them can still get them. Just my opinion 🤷🏻‍♀️.

Same here. I've passed on so many ColourPop palettes because they had glitters in them, despite really loving the color stories. I'm not going to pay for a palette if I can't use every shade in the palette. I did make an exception last week - I'd been looking all over for a palette that had the exact same type of cool-toned mauves that the Flutter By palette has, for around the same price point, and I couldn't find anything that caught my eye like that one did. So I bought it. And I immediately popped out the pressed glitter shade when it arrived because I'll never use it, and I didn't want it transferring to the other shades. So now I have an empty hole in my palette, which is annoying, and I'll probably end up buying a single shadow to put in it's place - but I shouldn't have to. If people want pressed glitters, they can buy them separately already. Just leave them out of the palettes.

Magic really is SO good! It was my 1st CP palette & while my collection of five is small by Colourpop standard is definitely still a top fave...I’d say tied w/ Good Sport for my favorite. And I’m w/ you when it comes to glitters. I actually won’t even consider a purchase w/ glitter - unless they change to mica-based/ biodegradable - b/c they’re so horrific for our waterways/ planet & it’s just so irresponsible of them to be selling them on SO many levels.

I love the fame palette, as the colours do suit me and as a fair gal, I can do a variety of looks. The colourful ones, apart from soft mauves and olive greens look shocking on me lol. I went out last night and grabbed the fame palette and forgot how easy to blend and beautiful the shadows are. I enjoyed the ranking though, just wish I could pull off the warm tone looks :)

Through My Eyes is by far my favorite palette just because I get inspired to do all sorts of make up looks. The colors are phenomenal. I like the mirror and the absence of pressed glitters. Midnight Masquerade is my least favorite because although beautiful, the color scheme doesn't do it for me.

I personally do use the glitters from time to time, but I would never tell you are wrong to choose not to. I personally use a glitter base to make sure they stick, and never rub them off, I use a piece of tape to take them off. Still doesnt make them safe of course, but if anyone in the comments wanted to know how to atleast minimise the risk. It can still hurt you though, so its your own choice either way.

Misunderstood would go really well with the Take Me Home palette or either of the other two Disney palettes. I want the 3 mega palettes really bad. Such a good variety of shades & finishes. The Perception & Through My Eyes palettes look really pretty too. Love the color in those 2 and the Chasing Rainbows palette. I haven't tried any ColourPop eyeshadow palettes yet. I can never make up my mind on which one I want. I wanted the 3 bird ones that were Ulta Exclusives that came out with the Bye Bye Birdie collection too. Man, I've missed out on so many palettes!

New viewer here and I’m glad I found your channel. I have both of the Disney Princess palettes and I don’t reach for Masquerade as much as I should. I ended up swapping the glitters out with two shimmers from the Princess Thing palette and repressed two Coastal Scents shadows into the Princess Thing palette. I really wish they would stop with the pressed glitters.

I only bought 1 palette that had pressed glitter in it (sweet talk) and it was my first and last one. I liked the color scheme but didn't realize glitter was in it. It is now on the bottom for me because those 2 glitters don't exist for me. That turned the 12 pan palette that I paid for into a 10 pan palette. That makes me salty.

I have a very specific question (but I know you are really busy and get a ton of questions on here and instagram, so no worries if you don't have time to answer!) I own four palettes, I'm kind of the opposite of most of the makeup/youtube world where I just love researching makeup to try to find something I know I will love and use the whole thing up and only purchase things I will use every shade, etc., no judgement on different people that's just my personal style! So, my question: I've wanted a ColourPop palette forever, I really want to try the formula, but they have SO many palettes I just get overwhelmed and can't choose one! I've watched all your videos about ColourPop and the dreaded not eye safe GLITTERS, and you have convinced me to not put that on my eyes, but that makes me sad because some of the palettes I'm the most attracted to have pressed glitters (for instance Sweet Talk, especially if one of the peachy mattes was replaced by a beautiful inner corner shade!) :( Here are a few other things: I like neutrals and color (but more saturated or light colors, less so bright or primary colors) Blue is my favorite color, but it looks terrible on me so I don't need/want any blues, warm tones look best on me, but I'm also attracted to some taupes/cool neutrals. I don't have any yellow eyeshadow so I would kind of like a beautiful rich yellow, but not a requirement (For years I've been eyeing the Yes, Please! palette, but I've heard that since it was one of their first palettes it's a different formula and not quite as good). I like shimmers and metallics more than mattes, so I'd love some really gorgeous shimmers/a palette with less mattes is fiine. Bare Necessities/It's All Good have a lot of pretty shades, but also are so HUGE/very repetitive/no stand out shades?? I'd love a palette with some lovely lighter shimmer shades/I love an inner corner highlight in a palette, because my biggest palette has a lot of deep shades already. This is crazy specific, but none of my friends or family are into makeup, so I have no one to ask advice! I keep waiting for ColourPop to release my dream palette or just one that I can't pass up, but they all seem to just miss the mark a little for me (or have pressed glitters!!) If you were to suggest one ColourPop palette specifically for me what would it be? (I might be ok if there is one pressed glitter...) Sorry this is so long, hopefully it seems like a fun puzzle/game, not like I'm asking you to do my work for me -_- Thanks!

I’d say look into Yes Please (it’s not a 2 year old stock sitting around. They are updated/current palettes with current formulas) Through My Eyes, Sol or Blush Crush!

Just to clarify, I know the Yes Please Palettes aren't old stock, I've just heard that the formula was an old formula compared to the newer released palettes and that in comparison it was an inferior formula. Would they go back and change the formula for an already established product? It seems like that would possibly change the new Yes Please palettes colors and textures slightly compared to what people got originally since it would be a different formula? So I shouldn't watch old videos about it? Thanks for the suggestions!

@@jbbej428 I have, and I like the idea in theory but I feel like they lack any super special metallic options to me, plus when I've looked at least a few of the shades I want are always out of shock, and it's more expensive than their premade palettes of the same size (if they had a 9 or 6 pan option that was a bit cheaper...)

I have an oldddd original and a newer, updated Yes Please and the shades and performance are fantastic in both! With that being said, formulas get updated all the time in older/established products (not just CP but pretty much all brands) usually without any fanfare and none of us ever notice. Those cosmetic chemists are very good at keeping the color the same while improving texture, performance or formula in general!

The Golden State of Mind palette is probably the worst palette I've ever used of Colourpop's and the only one I bought and decluttered. I thought the quality was poor and the oils from the pans soaked through the cardboard packaging. My favourite palette is a 12 pan, so will wait for that video.

Why don't you just scoop out the glitters and repress a pretty single shimmer into their spots. That's what I do with all palettes I get that have black in them since I just never use black.
