Poke Bowl I’m by no means a beauty guru, but his highlights are amazing. I have 3 of his first formulas, and use them often. His lip scrubs work SO well. I live in Alaska so my lips tend to get really chapped. His liquid lips are great, my favorite shades are androgyny, daddy, and celebrity skin. Everything I’ve tried by him so far has been great.

I just tried the Laneige cushion foundation (the pore one, I don't remember what it's actually called) but I really love it! It looks nice, the your skin but better kind of thing. Works great with the concealer I use (Sephora gel serum concealer which is also awesome and underrated).

Hayley Roche I think it depends on a lot of different things-finish one prefers, skin type, pores and fine lines, how you prep the skin, type of coverage you like, even if you’re able to find your correct shade and undertone. Foundation is a toughy, much like concealer is for the under eyes. Both women are fantastic though, aren’t they?

I LOVE the Hourglass liquid foundation. I do not love that it's not the same shade as it's stick counterpart. It also oxidizes on me. I got two shades so I can mix according to my skin color of the day lol. But I always have a good makeup day when I use it.

Rach I’m so glad you brought up the hourglass foundation!! It’s really beautiful if used correctly. I got a sample at Sephora before purchasing because of all the bad reviews. I’ve used that sample for 2 weeks and barely put a dent in it because you need such a small pea sized amount. I love it!!

I have a very dry, sensitive and eczema prone skin, so unfortunately most „regular“ foundations do not work for me - they are itching, looking dry, making me older and make my eczema break out. Quite frustrating... 😕 What does work well for me are the Original Foundation and the Complexion Rescue tinted moisturiser by bareMinerals. At the moment I am impatiently waiting for their new Complexion Rescue stick foundation - it will be released in April here in Germany and I cannot wait to try it!

I had a makeover at Sephora and they used the Guerlain foundation. I really liked the way it looked and felt. I definitely want to buy it to try it out. I have also tried the Hourglass Vanish liquid and have liked it on my skin though it is a difficult foundation to work with and requires patience.

Laura Mercier's Flawless Lumiere is my HG foundation!! I'll be wearing it exclusively for the foreseeable future. I hate matte foundations because they always look cakey and make my face look dead. Every other satin to luminous foundation I've tried either separates in my t zone, emphasizes pores and lines I didn't know I had, or feels heavy on my face. This foundation doesn't. It actually makes my skin feel and look amazing all day. Also, I'm the same shade as you!

I find that the Makeup revolution foundation is the only full-coverage, matte foundation I will use. However, I have to apply it very specifically. I have to prime and HYDRATE my face beforehand and ensure that it is set really well. Lasts a long time and looks good.

No way! I now know never to try that one. I am so scared of bees. I have been stung a couple times and ended up in the hospital with an allergic reaction. Every time a bees comes near me, I am the type that screams and runs away. Lol! I would have totally freaked out if that happened to me.

Rach, what eyeshadow did you use? I also LOVE that Dior foundation! I've been using it for a couple of weeks now and it lasted for 17 hours without going cakey and shiny (I have combo skin for reference). Honestly just looks like my skin but better! So easy to blend unlike many matte foundations❤️

Oh my goodness that Guerlain L’Essentiel foundation is gorgeous. First time trying it was at a Sephora. I had already had a full face of makeup on my face for a solid 10 hours. I went to Sephora to get a tester. The associate used makeup remover to take off my old makeup first on my cheek near the jaw (then all around my chin where foundation will often separate on me). We applied no cream or any type of skin prep and put the foundation straight on. It applied beautifully and I walked around the mall for a solid few hours before I went back and purchased the foundation. One of my new holy grails (by the way I have oily t-zone with dehydrated skin)

Not a foundation but L'oreal magic skin butter BB cream is AMAZING!!! its a BB cream so lighter coverage but it corrects to your skin tone, which is amazingly cool, but it just blurs you're entire face, like to looks like you put a filter on, its crazy. I love it. you should try it

Would I be right in roughly summarising, from a few comments, that the Make Up Revolution works for oily skin whilst L’Oréal suits drier/more dehydrated skin? When the buzz was around Maybelline superstay I went through bottles trying to find the lighter shades whilst trying to make it work for my dehydrated skin (it gave me craters for pores that aren’t usually an issue) and now the L’Oréal is the new affordable full coverage buzz it suits me but not a lot of others You’re all a lot classier than me as I can’t feedback on the high end foundations 😅 Can’t afford to splurge especially since losing my job but one day I’ll have that flawless skin like you dolls ☺️

Bb cushions are something you will like. There are different kind but you may like the Maybelline one. It’s very lightweight and has some coverage in it. If you want something a bit expensive and feels wonderful, laneige has a wonderful one. It has spf, hydrates, and helps with redness and uneven skin tones. I have been using this for my day to day.

Omg I wish I could wear the L'Oreal Fresh Wear, I've tried the first 7 shades and haven't found a good match 😭 BUT I got shade matched with my first high end foundation, Estee Lauder Double Wear, and it's AMAZING! I used to use Maybelline Matte and Poreless, which oxidized on me and was super heavy, but EL is so lightweight, beautiful matte and I only need one layer! I also use NARS radiance primer to make it look more natural ❤
