I TOTALLY understand your reaction to FlowerBomb. Years ago, like 25+ years, while living and working in Washington, DC, I discovered “Angel “, fell in love with it and was thrilled by the number of men who, standing beside me before crossing a street, in the Metro or an elevator asked me what I was wearing🤗. (And, I was a happy married woman😜). But, after a couple of years, so many women in DC were wearing “Angel”, it lost its appeal to me and I have never worn it since😩

I returned the eden juicy apple from kayali , at first it smelled like a cough syrup I used to take as a child and then it disappeared within an hour 🙄 I need to stop following the hype 🤣🤣

I learned a long time ago to try a sample or travel spray as many fragrance reviewers are paid for their review (and they may not necessarily like it themselves, which is why it's in their declutter) and also fragrance is subjective

My biggest surprise this year was Mugler Goddess. I don't like Angel or Alien at all. But Goddess is so nice! 💖

I think Oriana is a gorgeous fragrance but what a huge disappointment. I sprayed myself at least 20 times and thought I was going to gag anybody that got in the car with me. So 15 minutes after spraying it all over me and my clothes, I picked up 2 of my friends and asked them if they liked my perfume and both of them said they couldn’t smell anything. 😩 I’m so disappointed now that I think I’m going to sell it or give it away.

I could get with it if it was just something that needed to be topped up at lunchtime but you shouldn’t have to use 15 sprays of a $300+ perfume to just smell it at all 🥴 I’ll stick with my dossier dupe of killians love don’t be shy for my marshmallow fix and now have Delina exclusive and Rosa and wanting to test Cassili or whatever it’s called (cream bottle). Not sure I’ll even test oriana, seems clear from even positive reviews that it’s nice but maybe not worth that price tag.

I love your description of “51”! I wear Delina as a signature scent and so many people don’t understand why I never wear anything else. But that sentiment of wanting to be surrounded by it and smell it everywhere that you described your love of 51 with, really sums it up for me!

I fell in love with Givenchy Irresistible this year. My fiancé and I were at the mall smelling different perfumes when one of the people at the counter gave me a sample of it. The fragrance wasn’t on my radar, but I fell in love with it instantly and my fiancé loved it too. It’s so fun to find a fragrance you want to wear every single day.

This video was great! Erin, could you please review the pure parfum version of Chanel? They aren't available in samples, so they would be blind buys for us. They even have the parfum version of Chance, which I remember you saying the EDP was your first Chanel. Since you enjoy Coco Nior, I'd so so appreciate your take on the parfum. With Chanel, the parfum is not just a stronger version, it's different notes even, as you probably experienced with your Gardenia parfum.

@@Linnea-xu5px same! I love GFG, amyris femme, Chanel Gabrielle essence.. Siberian rose from fragrance du Bois was my third niche and I blind bought it. It’s really nice, so different, but it gets a lot of compliments. I would recommend testing first as I thought I made a mistake at first but it’s my baby and I love it to bits.

I felt slightly disappointed with most of the 2021 launches. Definitely nice perfumes were released but nothing groundbreaking. I do enjoy the Valentino voce viva intense. Hopefully 2022 will have better releases.

I loved thisVideo Guerlain sounds like this could be my holy grail fragrance. Thank you so much for including it. I saw your video on favorite date/nighttime scents and the Secret Tryst sounds like it would be a favorite nighttime scent. Do you know where samples would be available to purchase. Im sad because i was not a fan of oriana... i cant smell it at all. People say it smells like princess and i can barely smell princess so im wondering if i just cant smell frags that are mainly marshmallow. On the bright side i only bought a 10 ml decant of oriana from a friend so i didnt waste a ton of money. I do agree with u about delina la rosee. Such a beautiful frag!!! I wear it to bed a lot actually.

I loved this new video thanks for sharing it! I recently purchased a full size Dalina from de Marly. I am a bit behind on the times but i love it been wearing it daily i even wear one spray on my arm to bed and my husband doesn't complain! It is amazing not sure if i would like Oriana if it is like Hypnotic Poison. I remember when that came out I was in high school i think 16 and i liked it then but it really is a adolescent scent for me but that could be because i remember when it released lol I really need a vanilla for the winter it is getting very cold here and i dont want anything so boozy i got the worst headache from Lost Cherry it smelled like marzipan on me. I just ordered a sample of Gentle fluidity gold hope i like it sounded amazing just on the search for a good vanilla not too boozy not too sweet maybe sugary a bit floral my friend was wearing chloe marc jacobs it was a vanilla smelled good to me

I was also disappointed by Ellis Brooklyn's SWEET. I wanted the marshmallow note so badly, but it did not come through. I haven't smelled Versace Dylan Turquoise, but I love Dylan Blue. The blackcurrant note is captivating! The Floral Street fragrances are also lovely, though the Ylang Ylang Espresso is too dark for me. One of my discoveries this year was Valentino's Voca Viva. Not a 2021 launch at all, but so so good! And thank you for reviewing the Kayali Eden Juicy Apple; I'm waiting for mine to arrive.

Hi Erin! I feel the same way about Italica, but some perfumes have grown up on me so maybe you need time. I highly recommend you try Goutal Paris Nuit et Confidences. It reminds me sooo much of Xerjoff Lira, but it is more subtle, a very nice balance of vanilla and lemon sweetness.

I was laughing when you were talking about not being able to smell a fragrance 🤣 my friend came over the other day and I had bought a few kayali fragrances. She said the vanilla 28 had no smell! I was like are you okay?! Lol 😂 but I also wanted to say I mixed the invite only with eden, then the vanilla, and today with the musk. I actually loved it with all of them 😊 I also mixed eden with the sweet diamond pink pepper and loved it too 💗

I was very disappointed by Invite Only. I was most surprised by how much I love Apple Brandy. A perfect cool weather fragrance for me.

You should definitely give Thin Wild Mercury a try. Their fragrances tell a whole story, my personal favorite is their Whiskey 1969 perfume. It might not be to your liking, but the story that it tells make ‘em worth giving a shot.

My biggest disappointment of 2021 was the Kay Ali Eden Juicy Apple. I waited forever to get the sample and was so excited to try it. The initial spray is nice.... but omg.... the dry down on me is terrible..... nasty..... I had to wash it off my arm! My favorite of 2021 is the Gucci Flora Gorgeous Gardenia.... it’s my latest signature scent. I’ve learned so much about fragrance from you... thank you!

This was a great review. I received Apple Brandy and Eden Apple yesterday. I actually like Apple Brandy. It is masculine, but I don't mind. Eden Apple will take me awhile to warm up too. I want to try the Guerlain fragrance. The vanilla scent.🥰

The brand new Flowerbomb Ruby Orchid perfume by Viktor and Rolf sounds right up my alley! I will definitely give it a sniff when I go inside a store next. I'm really liking my L'Interdit Eau de Toilette perfume by Givenchy recently. It's really nice and fresh and floral. The Tuberose and Rose perfumes by Jimmy Choo that is a part of their more luxury line of perfumes is beautiful too. You would love those Erin! Their packaging is just like their lipsticks.

does the La Rosee smell like a Rose fragrance; you stated floral. I love Rose centric parfums. It is the most noticed note possibly top and mid note. Particularly the centifolia rose scent. 🌹

Oriana by Parfums de Marly is almost impossible for me to describe well. I can give pretty decent ballpark olfactory descriptions but this one is impossible. The other fragrance I cannot describe is Tom Ford's discontinued 'Champaca Absolute'. Also, most soliflores and fragrances led by a single triumphant accord or note are impossible to describe to a person not familiar with that note in it's original natural form. Oriana is a a real 'levelling up' test when trying to improve language and communication skills, haa!I love fragrances like that and wish more KZbinrs would make fun videos about the most difficult to describe fragrances in their collection. I wonder what these are for people?

There’s really no such thing as best and worst when it comes to fragrance because every fragrance smells different on the individual. You are right that this is a very subjective arena.
