I am currently studying HNC CHILDHOOD PRACTICE. I have passed all my theory assessments and exams so far but I’m really struggling. My practical abilities are not great I struggle with large groups of people and whenever I’m carrying out a task I struggle and get really anxious. My stomach in the morning is terrible and I’m always sick and can’t eat anything. Im in my second block of placement now. My attendance for block one is 20/24 and I’ve missed first week of block 2. The workload for block 2 is a lot and I know I’m going to struggle with it. Im not going to be able to make up the time now and there are still units for college i need to complete after block 2. My lecturer is speaking to me on teams on Wednesday afternoon. Just really worried about thrown off course and there is only 8 weeks left Because I’m really stressing about this I have been eating a lot more and have put on quite a bit of weight. Im 32 as well. Running out of options just feeling rubbish, no confidence and a nervous wreck. If i fail this I really don’t know if I want to be here anymore.

Hey hun. just read your comment and i wanted to know if you are okay now and how things are going. I am starting my first week of mental health nursing tomorrow and i'm feeling very anxious already and i haven't even started placement. Though i am not anywhere near where you are right now, somehow i understand and empathize with how you feel. I just want to know how you are getting on right now. Have you overcome what you are going through? and if you did, how did you do that? i hope you don't mind me asking. Sending you all the love and good vibes xox

@@chickenpiie5028 I passed a lot of the units last but have to do placement again at a different nursery. Still really anxious and nervous. I wish you the best and I really hope your mental health nursing goes well.

If I see your face more than... It's a problem! Love it! Boy, I hope I know how to handle a rude nurse. My face expression will show I don't appreciate their manner or tone Kmt

Hi Belinda, just wondering what kinds of questions did they ask in your nursing interview. I have an interview for a newly qualified nurse job and was just wondering.

I have a whole video on that

Thank you for your videos. I find them super useful :) I'm actually starting my first placement in Cardiology Ward, and I can't wait :) Do you think is it difficult to find a hospital-based nursing job to work nights only? Thank you in advance :)
@nurse_bellinda3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching 🙏🏽😊yeah it’s certainly difficult to find a ward that will provide nights only because 1.) as a nurse I order to keep up to date certain skills set you will only be able to obtain these on days 2.) most people want to work nights because it pays more therefore, nurses will pick up overtime on nights and as a newly qualified registered they will try and give you more days to start of with then nights so that you can learn and gain the necessary knowledge that you won’t gain on nights

Actually, does it apply to Intensive Care Unit? X ignore it if I ask too many questions xx
@nurse_bellinda3 жыл бұрын
No it’s fine, I think it would apply to all wards I think some wards would consider taking on nurses permanently nights only if they have years of experience or if they really short of nights only. Would you like to work nights only?

I failed my 1st placement. It was in outpatients. I said the word 'bored' one day because it was quiet. I got told off for it. And after a 12 hour shift my hair would start looking a bit messy
