I'm actually really glad that the colourpop tinted moisturizer doesn't have spf. I'm allergic to most spf products expect for one from eurecin for kids (sadly not cruelty free) For me it's the first time I'm able to buy a tinted moisturizer ^^

i’m always happy foundation products don’t have spf because they’re so misleading! people think they can apply a normal amount of foundation and get full protection but you really can not. you need a dedicated spf product and to apply ENOUGH before putting a foundation over it.

I would rather not include SPF on a tint. First because you will not get the enough protection you need from it unless you go layer a lot and it can cause cakiness. Secondly SPF generally enhances “oil production” on the skin when formulated with makeup . Better be safe with your fav SPF before applying make up

yes, generally people need about 1 tsp worth of spf for their entire face and neck. i use barely a fraction of that teaspoon to apply my colourpop tinted moisturizer

Makeup colors are so subjective. I have the Taupe palette and the Coconuts one, and at first I thought I would use only the taupe one, but now I have flipflopped and the Coconuts one I use every day. You just never know.

I love the Elf quad and find that the shadows are buildable. I also use them in conjunction with the Colourpop. Love the Berry one. I have three and you definitely need a primer to make it last.

You got me using the Pretty Fresh tinted moisturizer! I love it so much - and usually my skin is very sensitive to new products but I've never had any issues with it! I have been loving the Super Shock blushes as well and just ordered Growth Flirt and I can't wait! Essence bespoke blush is my favorite one in my tiny collection of 5 blushes! For reference I have tan skin with olive undertone ( which is difficult in too many ways,) it gives me a bronzey nude veil on my cheeks with a hint of peachy glow ! A little bit sun kissed if you well , in your application clip I couldn’t see the ashiness you talked about!😶

✨🤩This was a great video! My favourite Essence product is the Micro Precise Waterproof eyebrow pencil. It’s a super thin tipped, windup pencil that makes perfect brow strokes and firm enough to not snap when making hairlike strokes. I have zero brow hairs (thanks to over-plucking in the 90’s!), so I’m thrilled to finally find an inexpensive solution that stays put throughout the day. 💕

Totally agree with the elf bite sized eyeshadows, just not worth it even tho it is cheap, all the shimmers lack the type of finish, texture and dimension I like in shimmery shadows. It just looks flat and dry on my eyes! I bought the cream and sugar one

The only thing about colorpop is that their not inclusive at all, that’s the big difference about the formula. The past year I’ve found, and seen in black creators, their palette aren’t showing up on darker skin any more. I used to love the older monochromatic palettes but recently it doesn’t work :( and they had amazing blushes, but all the shades now are too light and pale to show up🥴😣

It's just sad to see that most of their palettes only have one or two dark shades bc while I'm fair-skinned I absolutely live for dark eyeshadows. I've heard from some youtubers that the reason they do that is because darker shadows need more pigment and that's more expensive to make so they release mostly light shades to keep their products affordable. I find that a bit odd however when they have pallettes like Wine and Only and Wild Child at the same price as the rest but I don't work at Colourpop so what do I know

Thank goodness I thought I was the only one who could NOT make the Em Cosmetics serum blushes work for me. It would disappear, it felt greasy, and it removed ALL my foundation. I have so few cream and liquid formulas that work for me they always remove my foundation! Sigh...

I don't like SPF in makeup because you would need to apply way more product than is usual to get actual sun protection from it, and SPF doesn't "stack". i.e. layering spf 15 with spf 30 does not give you spf 45. So to me, there's really no benefit to it and as other people have said, it can increase oil production and make the product more allergenic.

Hi Judy, When you use sponge to apply super shock blush, is it wet or dry? Since I apply by wet sponge and I see that its pigmentation is quite weak, while in your video I see it appears more pigment

Yes… I don’t love the Elf bite sized palettes. The mattes are too dusty and they don’t build on my skin tone. The packaging is cheap. I had Rose water & cream sugar, initially. Like a dummy, I thought I will try Mint to be and it was also super powdery. Cream & sugar was the best of the bunch, but I wasted $10.

You are not alone, I don’t like the Em Cosmetics serum blush either, I have to mix it with another liquid blush for it to work, and also the dropper does not work

I definitely own Rise N Shine and Air Kiss strictly based on your recommendation and I love them ☺️ I also don’t love the Elf bite size. I prefer the Wet N Wild color icon shadows. Same price, but five shadows instead of four and nicer quality.

I got the elf poreless putty primer and I feel like it’s not working for me. It does smooth out my makeup, but it makes me sweat lol. Is that normal…. I always feel like a greaseball when I use it and I usually don’t even get warm or sweat easily. So I end up taking my makeup off earlier cuz I feel so gross. Not sure if the matte version would work better for me or not. Anyway, great video! I always love your content.

The E.L.F bite pallets are horrible. The mattes are patchy and the metallics aren’t that great either. I bought three different ones and it was the same for all of them. I ended up giving them to a friend because I was never going to use them.

@@alyssarose2818 I just checked and the cushion is actually $48 and international shipping is $11 if you spend over $100, otherwise it's $48. With domestic shipping (which I'm assuming is the US) it's free if you spend over $50. This is all unfortunately still over my budget :/

@@pauwula ~ Ah okay, I will admit, it is pricey, but it’s worth it for me (but I live in the US, so I didn’t have to pay for shipping). Judy has mentioned that the colourpop tinted moisturizer is on par with the em cosmetics cushion, and I honestly agree with that! The formulation is quite similar, and both products are incredible! If you’re looking for an alternative, I recommend that. If you’re specifically looking for a cushion, if I remember correctly, @TheBeautyBreakdown has a video on cushions! I know that Maybelline and L’Oréal have cushions, but I’ve never tried them, and I’m not sure if those brands are cruelty free

i think essence does good affordable products, but by far my least favorite is any of their eyeshadows, it has little if any pigment and it never stays where it's supposed to, like, even if I put a lot of it on my eyelid, it's just gone after a few minutes and I have no idea why. I keep being tempted because the colors look nice and they're so cheap, but they sadly are a waste of money
