The puma speedcat rise is because of the low profile shoe popularity from Samba and also (im surprised that no one noticed) the rise of F1 popularity. Because it was a racing shoe.

These “hybrids” you call were also done by Adidas during the heyday of boost, maybe 7-10 years ago. There was the Stan Smith Boost, Superstar Boost, EQT Boost, Samba Boost, Spezial Boost, as well as various versions of the Ultraboost that were made to mimic classic uppers, like the triple white and triple black leather ones.

I think that the fragment travis scott's are going to be the last pair of jordan 1 travis's then they are only really gonna make his signature models and I think that travis x nike is gonna be like the new yeezy in a way. The original adidas yeezy 750's are very valuable because they were the first ones and they were more limited just like the travis jordan 1. Then travis's signature models will be like 350's when they first came out they go for a lot but they will release so many colorways that they will start to become less and less valuable but the first few colorways of his signature models will still be pretty valuable just like the zebra 350s. And maybe in the future travis x nike will branch out even more and start making other signature shoes like slides or smt just like yeezy
